Seeing the crowd being majority kids makes me SO uninterested in attending one of their concerts 😭😭

There needs to be some sort of 14+ age restriction for certain concerts. The amount of little kids there is actually astounding and worrying.

The KATSEYE management is incredibly predatory both towards the group members and their incredibly young audience.

That sounds like a DYSTOPIAN experience 😭😭😭

Honestly i hope this was also a wake up call for the parents bringing their kids to see katseye and paying attention to what their children are consuming

girl no. i’m 23 as well. being surrounded by CHILDREN at a concert full of sexualization and profanity is so… like what are we doing? like i get it at the age i was watching crazy shows but BEHIND MY PARENTS BACK. my parents weren’t actively taking me to such events and exposing me to that sort of behavior early on. for them to be like what 11 and younger is absolutely INSANE. i genuinely cringed so hard when daniella started twerking. this is really weird shit.

The issue is that the lyrics are silly enough that I'm not sure how much it would appeal to adults. It doesn't fit either demographic

I blame this on the labels marketing with slime, roblox collabs, monster high while their music isn’t kid friendly. That’s definitely going to cause awkward vibes for fans going to live events and being surrounded by a gen alpha daycare.

Nah ima give shade. Parents will buy their kids anything and arent actually taking the time to have an interest or pay attention to what their kids consume. But then they'll get online talking badly about these girls and complaining about how inappropriate they are. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR KIDS AND WHAT THEY CONSUME IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Edit: before I get a million responses about the company. Yes there is a marketing problem. But you can't be blaming the girls and complaining if you bought tickets dressed your kid in kpop demon hunters and were shocked there were curse words. You weren't paying enough attention in the first place. If you chose to be a parent you chose to protect your kids from predatory marketing and you've got to be paying attention especially with how crazy the internet is now and giving unsupervised access to it.

I think parents saw K-Pop Demon Hunters and just assumed ALL K-Pop is like that, or saw pictures of bright and bubbly K-Pop videos, and assumed it was kid friendly, and didn’t do any further research to see Katseye is definitely more for older teens/young adults. Not children

The girls can’t be happy having a fanbase like that though, right?  It feels like no adults take them seriously, so they can’t be bothered.

I don’t get the argument that “oh well we listened to Nicki Minaj as kids” like her entire audience wasn’t kids tho💀I am genuinely SO confused on how katseye managed to get that young of a fan base especially with their music since Gabriella being more mature for what id assume a teen+ audience would be into

i also think what’s really weird is that yoonchae just barely turned 18 and yet hybe x geffen seemingly used that to immediately make the group image more mature. and that’s not even entirely true because do we not remember the floor choreo for gabriela ???? so predatory and i don’t care what anyone says.

Time is so weird. Like I can remember the UPROAR Miley got when Can’t Be Tamed released. And it wasn’t half as scandalous as katseye. It’s what I can’t wrap my head around how drastically things have changed.

I feel so bad for the Katseye members atp. Every clip ive seen so far is like 75% little girls- not even teens/preteens its literal “need a chaperone” age children 💀 im 29, i cant shake ass in the parking lot next to a bunch of 10 year olds lmao. I actually have a daughter and i would NEVER bring her to this concert with me wtf 😭

The underlying situation here is that it is predatory. You can't make the argument saying that, "Oh other artists have been doing sexual stuff for years." Yeah, if unlike Katseye, they don't advertise/market to kids. From the primary school, to the games, slimes (Katseye is a walking advertisement thriving on short attention spans but that's another conversation). Seriously, the management and marketing team is evil.
