Note: I should have made it clear that while Ferdinand Magellan organized and led the circumnavigation, he himself didn't 'complete' it because he was killed in the Philippines - Juan Sebastián Elcano completed it in full.

I'm really glad you were so clear that Early Modern Europe had no AI. I wasn't sure

Wow man, hundreds of hand drawn slides (IN AN AI SLOP WORLD), with historically accurate commentary. This must've taken weeks to make! This is genuinely some of the most valuable content on youtube, and you're making this for the LOVE OF THE GAME? This is the type of content I wish I had when I was in school,  thank you so much man, I can't wait for this video and your channel to blow up even more...

No AI? Historical accuracy? Entertaining? Subscribed in a heartbeat

Keep the hard work up, these videos are a light house in a sea of ai history slop

Haha, half an hour ago I finished watching your video about medieval history up to 1500 and when I opened YouTube now on the home page I see this one released just 22 minutes ago!

I really hate the fact that we are living in a world where a 30min long edutational video filled with handdrawn visuals, royalty-free music and with a clearly human voice reading the script (as opposed to using AI-generated pictures, music and narration) has to have "No-AI" in the title.

Magellan did NOT complete his circumnavigation of the world; he got hacked apart by the native people of Mactan island. His crew got back to Spain, though.

The way you structured this script is incredible. Distilling centuries of complex history into a 26-minute video without losing the pacing is a massive challenge, and you completely nailed it. The seamless transitions between different eras make this a masterclass in educational storytelling!"

"ideas spread faster" = "one caravan carries parchment showing windmill hand drawn diagram"

One of the best history videos I’ve ever seen

This wasn’t a video I was looking for tonight, but I have to comment as I greatly appreciate that it’s not AI. There have been so many AI slop YT channels posting about historical topics, and to see real effort and time being spent to create content makes me happy.

Many do not know this, but the name of the state of Labrador in Canada comes from a Portuguese Navigator who knew about Terra Nova (New Foundland), he was João Fernandes Lavrador.

Bro dropping the hardest EUIV Lore

It's refreshing to see real effort being put into history videos again.

Thank you so much for not giving into the AI slop machine.

Copernicus did not carry out detailed calculations of the solar system’s structure. Instead, he proposed a theoretical model of how it might function, offering a conceptual framework rather than a rigorously researched or empirically grounded analysis.

This has become my favorite history channel. Thanks so much for making great content with no AI

Put a like just to reward the NO AI initiative. Great work.

History with Dave is fun, I like it!
