I was there when we won the double in 1971 I am looking forward to this new season.

Way too negative, ok its upsetting but lets not dwell on it. Thanks Charles for keeping positive!

We were trying to get rid of leo and martinelli since last season, and the other fringe players. It had to be done. Its seperate from the incomings. Arteta already said there is little room for improvement so they cant just sign anyone. Lets move on now and support the team.

Thank God the transfer window is shut. I am sick of it.

I don't know of any other club where fans talk about the director of football like we do.

Most of the top teams in Europe managed to strengthen their attacking options this summer. PSG brought in Ferran Torres, Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts, Barcelona added Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, Real Madrid signed Yan Diomande, Man City signed Iliman Ndiaye, and Liverpool signed Barcola. Yet Arsenal have needed to strengthen the left side of our attack for years, and we still haven’t managed to bring in the quality forward we need.

If Arsenal har signed Feran Torres, Gordon, Ndiaye, Leao or some other names being thrown around, no Arsenal fan would have been excited but because they went to other clubs everyone is throwing a fit

Nice trim, Charles. Low on the sides is the way to go 👍🏽

Common guys, you guys should be clever enough to  know that it takes 3 parties to deal for a player. You can't say they should have done the outgoings early when there are no serious parties trying to buy those players. Barca only came for Jesus when the finally accepted they wont get alverez, AL Hilal came for Martinelli when they could not land their other choices and Hamburg were just not ready to  make a good offer for Viera. Acceptable offer came for Troussard and they accepted it. Barta has done a good job. Barcola was the only right option this summer in attack and we all don't know why they did not go for him. Maybe he only wanted Liverpool, maybe they knew he will cost £120m and they did not value him at that price. I'm so angry with Arsenal fans right now. The club has done a great job.

Arsenal's squad before Berta was probably around 15th best in the world. In his 1.5 years, we are in the top 5 in the world.

People forget that Gyokeres was going to be that world class striker. His figures in Portugal plus his international scoring figures were impressive and though nobody expected him to achieve the same in the PL he was still expected to be competing at the top of the scoring list.
And maybe he will in his second season once he comes off the naughty step.

Hi everyone. Forever watcher but first time commenter. However, I need to get my sadness for Martinelli leaving off my chest.

Martinelli was my favorite player, since Arshavin drew me into the club game in 09. His humility and workrate combined with speed and excitement was the beacon of light when we were in the deepest pit of mercenary football. He, Saka and Smith-Rowe brought JOY back into the club game for me. That goal against Chelsea might be my favorite Arsenal goal to this day.

Seeing Martinelli and Saka hold each other when watching the title decider meant almost more than the title itself. Despite the sadness I am grateful we got to share the title triumph with him.

The departure is a little messy on Arsenal's end and it saddens me, but sometimes business is business. Martinelli's last action as an Arsenal player however is scoring a penalty in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL, how far have we come in seven years my sweet Brasilian prince. All the best and hope you get to come back to the Emirates at some point. Tuomas from Finland.

There are players out there for sure having said that the brit exit condition had me growing curly hair where it's not supposed to

I know alot of people give Berta stick for the outgoings, but when your outgoings are effectively players who don't have a future at the club or over 30+, it's always gonna be tough. Potential buyers aren't stupid and know you'll be under pressure to sell and likely keep Arsenal stringing along till the end to lower their price.

Been a great summer window. Strengthened in key areas. Tried signing game changers, didn’t happen, so we keep that money and in January or the summer sign an elite forward.

On our Gabbi leaving: honestly never felt so sick in my forty years as an Arsenal supporter. Seeing our boy leaving hits me right in the pit of my stomach. The eulogies on TikTok and on YouTube this morning are killing me. Thanks for everything Gabbi… forever a gooner 💪💪💪

@24:00

the difference is Eze player off the left in a 343, meaning he had constant overlapping runs to his left

he isn't an out and out winger in a 433

Eze was believed (and ended up being) the odegaard rotation/back up in the 10/attacking 8

Arteta wasn’t simply looking to sign players who could operate in one position. He was building a squad full of versatile players capable of covering multiple roles, and that could prove to be a masterstroke.

Look at our rivals: if Bruno gets injured, United’s midfield takes a huge hit. If Haaland is unavailable, City lose a massive part of their attacking threat. If Van Dijk is out, Liverpool’s defensive stability is affected significantly.

At Arsenal, it’s different. We now have players who can seamlessly cover multiple positions, even Bruno can step in for Rice if needed. That’s why I’m not particularly concerned about the LW situation.

We have an exceptionally deep and versatile squad , combined with a fantastic manager. And most importantly, Arteta has one clear objective: build on last season and make this team even better .

At 12:02 Charles, you ask James a question, he begins to answer it and you just interrupt him and answer it yourself...haha! His face 😶

I'm hoping that they're just waiting for Yilmaz or Krupi to get fit for Jan window

Bruno misses training might be the most spoken words this season. 😂

Martinelli is an absolute club legend. Hes a legend thats not good enough to take us further than he already did. Thank you for your service gabi ❤
