Wasn't gonna look at any breakdowns on this, but on this channel I will

The whole "think of the fans" argument for leniency towards City applies at least as much to the fans of the disadvantaged teams

what a time to not be a Man City fan

@magicaces13 1 day ago

when you think about it. City really bloated the transfer market during this time an accelerated prices in the EPL and Europe.

900m is irreconcilable, send them to the national league

City didn’t “break in” to the top, they literally broke the system at the top of English football through this method. They artificially inflated the transfer market prices with their spending and essentially priced out competition. They are the biggest inflationary force in English football and have increased the gap between the top clubs and everyone else more than any other club.

Important to also recognize the “sham” payments were increasing every year until 2018 so there’s a 0% chance they went from 130+ million to zero the following year

Only one entity owes anything to man city fans, and that is man city.

Is this how Spurs stay up??

@YomaOdigwe 1 day ago

I've heard enough, 20 point deduction for Everton

@MunemRahman 1 day ago

I reckon between 2018 and to date they have probably continued to break the rules with finances.

To answer your final question you do need money to break into the top of the PL, but not at this scale and not in the way that they've done it.
1. It's an absurd amount of hidden money, and this is only what they've been able to find evidence of.
2. The way they behaved by delaying, obfuscating the truth and flat out lying to the league and the independent panel was disgraceful and the league need to send a message to show that this isn't ok.

The owners are unrepentant - they need forcibly removing from the club or the club gets sued into oblivion.
One of those two things needs to happen (plus massive fine, huge points deduction ,stripping of titles and/or multi-year transfer ban)

Force a sale. Strip titles. Expulsion.

@Scotthorn06 1 day ago

I don't think the fans get a pass. 2011 Wenger was asking for investigations. The fans have supported the cheating for 15 years now and if the Prem wants to actually stop this sort of behavior, I can tell you every fan will be holding their club accountable if the punishment is severe enough. If it isn't the fans will do what City fans have done, shrug their shoulders and celebrate the titles

Centurions has a new meaning now.

Absolving City fans of blame in this is a let off honestly. Back in 2010 when Liverpool were on the brink of administration, Qatar tried to buy the club and it’s supporters groups blocked the sale exactly for potential reasons like this. There’s a reason states buying football clubs have loads of controversy surrounding them. When have City fans or supporters groups ever questioned their club’s realistic ability to generate the types of revenues they were reporting all these years? They just sat back and didn’t question it. The perfect impressionable fanbase to sport wash

@chrisl7962 1 day ago

Expulsion is the only suitable option and wait to see who takes them. They should also not be allowed back in without some very clear conditions about conduct and ownership

@andrewhartman105 1 day ago

Expulsion followed by immediate admission to UAE Pro League. Or, origin story of the future Super League.

@pranavkrishnan2579 19 hours ago

Given the Abramovich precedent, I think forcing a sale of the club is certain regardless of the sporting penalties. These owners categorically fail the Owners and Directors Test now.
