He Was Dumped in the Middle of Nowhere..So I Sat Down With Him

He was found completely alone on a dirt trail in the middle of nowhere. No name, no microchip, no one looking for him. And the more we learned about WHERE he was found, the less it made sense...https://www.flipcoffee.com
By the time I got to him he'd spent 11 days pressed into the corner of his kennel - too scared to eat in front of anyone, too scared to be touched, too scared to even look at me. So I sat down with him anyway…and by the end, you won't believe he's the same dog.

P.S. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for the kind messages you've left me here. I've read and will keep reading them all so carefully. The reason I can't reply to each of you is simply that I don't have the mental capacity to give every message the meticulous reply it deserves. May each of you find the tranquility and love you seek.
We're in this together 🏵️☀️
(Editing this comment unfortunately caused Rocky's like to disappear. But, I had to do it anyhow to show you my gratitude. What matters is that he's read this and he knows how grateful we are.)
In the wild, if a wolf is deemed useless to the pack, it is abandoned and shunned. No other pack will take it in, the wolf feels that it has something wrong with it and it will just go away and die, it can't hunt on its own anyway, so it will starve.
This is how a dog feels when it is abandoned, it is the single most cruel thing you can do to a dog barring physical abuse, it's mental abuse and it will take a dog ages to feel that it can be accepted into a pack again. You can see it in their eyes, no recognition of self, just fear and confusion.
You have saved more than a life my man, you have saved a soul. 👏
She was only years old. She's very devoted and bonded with my other to my other senior rescues. Happy Family Pack!
