Rest in peace Robert and Karen. Workplace injuries and deaths happen way too often and many are avoidable. It is very sad. Thank you Jeremy @The Cellar ☆

Sadly, so many employees fail to understand the hidden dangers in their workplaces. Often the dangers are cloaked in long periods with no injuries. It's tragic that these two professionals fell victim to such danger. Thanks.

Once again, two very interesting stories to think about with very sad endings. Both stories are equally tragic and unexpected. One was hopefully quick, whereas the other was slow, and I'm sure very painful. I hope they are resting in peace.

Robert's was sad, of course, as are all the stories we see about manufacturing workers being injured or killed in the workplace. Karen's was the one that got me this time around, however. Not only was it a drawn-out decline, but it's one of those times where the science hadn't caught up to the potential dangers yet, and Karen was the unfortunate accidental test case, much like with Maria Skłodowska Curie.

I'm so very disappointed with The Cellar's channel...especially after binge watching literally everything they've posted and still wanting more!

Both cases are definitely sad but, the long delayed reaction of Karen’s death was so bizarre and mind numbing!! 🤯😞

My Dad worked in a paper mill. I had no clue how dangerous his job was until I was a teen.
He saw a man get pulled into a machine and die. Saw one get scalped and one lose fingers.
His friend thought fast and undone his belt and the machine snatched his pants off. Skinned his legs.
The man here being killed by the machine really got to me.
My Dad never got hurt but he could have. I am so glad I did not know this as a little kid. He did not talk about his job.

My second mom worked at Whirlpool for awhile (it was a factory where they made their ovens) and there was a woman who was often "daydreaming" and would need to call for help because she got the line backed up. Well, one day, somehow, she got her hand caught in the conveyer. Even though it wasn't the moving part, and she didn't say a single word (that anyone heard at least) but she kept pulling on her arm/hand in a total panic. Finally someone noticed and stopped the line to call for help, but she had cut her hand so badly that my mom said it looked like someone "peeled back" the skin on top of her hand like a glove. It was so bad that one worker passed out on the floor looking at it.
Complacency is a killer. It's human nature to get used to an environment, you have to fight that in some of these jobs!

Yeah, these are all soooo sad, bless them.
The fact that our society judges people so strongly based on their looks is just so primitive. And the beauty standards people judge us by is damn near impossible for the average person to achieve. So we end up with women who inject all kinds of garbage into their bodies, and men who bash their faces with a hammer with the hope of the cracked bones healing in a certain way.😢

A basic latex glove doesn't seem to be a safe protection.

Very nice. They were both pretty disturbing. One was so sudden the victim didn’t know anything happened while one was a slow burn. I felt a little sad hearing Karen’s story. If the segment was longer I might’ve shed a tear or two. There’s something tragic about people who follow the rules but get hurt anyway.
