My husband's dog has bitten me several times. I know how much it hurt. For four hours from a small dog bite. I can't comprehend the pain from a bear bite much less the pain this man endured, also driving himself to the hospital. God bless this man

One of the most inspiring stories I’ve read was from an old Reader’s Digest magazine.
It was about the 1988 incident involving five Costa Rican fishermen who got lost at sea. These men, stranded on a 30-foot boat, crossed almost 4000 miles in the Pacific Ocean.
The entire time they were adrift for FIVE MONTHS, they had to consistently scoop water out of their slowly-sinking boat, but the boat never sank.
A Japanese ship rescued them. As they stepped on board that Japanese vessel, they looked down at their own boat. Before their eyes, the boat sank within minutes. All survived.

Cellar kicks ass.

This may sound ridiculous, but there's something so therapeutic about listening to those boots, crunching downstairs in your intro. 😌

I can't imagine getting hit with that proton generator -- no pain now, but you know you're f**ked beyond comprehension w radiation consequences. I can't believe he finished his work day!😮

You can't avert your fate. It's, you know, like, your fate and stuff.

Well, there you have it. Anatoly didn’t turn into the Hulk!
I’m starting to think that story’s bullshit.

I'm pretty sure I read about Anatoli before and it was said he didn't age on the side of his face that took the most of the radiation. The one side was frozen in time while the other side aged. Pretty interesting story all around.

You can't say the word "death" on here anymore? Something every living thing on this planet will experience but we can't talk about it.

I was stunned by these amazing videos! The theme of Averting Horrible Fates is the best combo for me, where there is both nail-biting action and victim survival - with all kinds of miracles happening in case after case. Bravo!

This disappeared on me and I’m not sure why, but I’m so glad it’s back so I can continue watching it.

One of my favorite channels. Amazing voice, cadence, and writing. 👍🏼

YouTube is absolutely infuriating. Having to beep out and modify a type of video that the broadcast news shows every day is just a straight violation of your free speech. I can't wait until content creators can be left alone. Censorship is evil.

Wow Mathew is a miracle boy. Cant believe he survived that long in the bush. Goes to show never give up looking until you find a person or a body. 😮
