Looked like a great day with friends. Thanks for letting us tag along. Coffee looked delicious. 🍻👍

Thanks for letting us come with David. Funny, seen that record fair venue so many times over the years, feels like I've BEEN there 😂

Cheers from Morten

Well done, Dave! Your selfie stick was working overtime on that trip! Nice pickups and looked like a great day all round 🙂

Cracking video, Dave. I was exhausted watching it! I like the look of your Ohio Players, Herbie and Quincy. You definitely left with plenty to keep you going😂 Cheers, Gordon

Was going to go for the first time in years but at the last minute my carers cover had to let me down, would’ve been nice to say hello.

Greetings Dave! I remember your previous visit to this record fair earlier this year. Gerry Mulligan makes an appearance. Big fan but I prefer the non concert band stuff. He was great with Dave Brubeck. Compadres is a terrific album they did together. Highly recommended. Odelay nice copy. I like Beck, but all of mine is on CD from back in the day. ✌️

Hi Dave - very nice trip, nothing quite like going to a record fair. I didnt see any CD's out for sale at the record fair?? Was it just records ? which would be a bit strange. I spent over 4 hours at our local record fair on the weekend and picked up some amazing CD's at really super low prices. I didnt bother with any records (vinyl) - just to expensive, especially at record fairs. Some CD highlights - Genesis - The Many Faces of 3CD digipak V/A, Where But for Caravan - Anthology, Juicy Lucy anthology, Family BBC Radio Vol 1 1968-69, Loreena McKennitt - Mid Winter Nights Dream, The Beau Brummels, Moby Grape,  Long John Baldry Anthology, George Harrison - Electronic Sounds and many more. I picked up 19 CD's and averaged out at $7.00 AUD each. Thrilled with my lot. Had a great day and caught up with a number of sellers I've known from way back. Now I have a huge backlog to get through lol. Cheers Doug (from Down Under)

I love the jazz and funk picks. Ohio Players and Herbie Hancock are perfect for full album listening. I'm the same way with The Delfonics and The Chi-Lites. Really nice!
Every year for about the past 10 years, I go to the Austin Record Convention here in Texas. It's the biggest convention in the U.S., but I think I've only seen 2 VC hosts in all that time. I hope to run into some of the UK guys that I follow one of these days.

Enjoyed this a lot. I like Gerry Mulligan - for me The Age of Steam is his best album.

Cool video Dave, sorry I couldn’t make next time for sure ! You did well catch you soon

I need to find a copy of Maggot Brain. I had no idea that Sting and Summers were on a Eberhard Schoenerd album. Good deal on Sylvian's Manafon and Beck, too!

Hi, I wondered if anyone remembers the shop name of the record shop that used to be right on the inside edge of the Bear Pit in Bristol in the 90's. Cheers

I was there too. Thought it was so much smaller than usual. Far fewer vendors recently . I think that could be down to expensive table prices, very expensive car parking and congestion charges in Bristol. Agree about overstuffed bins. Very irritating. I was there 9-11 and only bought one record. Thought it was overpriced with lots of the same old stuff. On the first floor was a guy selling shite for £12 a piece. Ridiculous
I live not far, so I do go to that fair regularly, probably three out of five a year. Great city. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
Cheers David
