Settling into my adult years, still without the stable relationship I craved, and with an uncertain career, I continued to bounce along trying the have good times and fun. All the while investing in my love of music.

Midnight Oil - Diesel and Dust is one of my all time favorite albums. Not only no skips but a powerful and atmospheric sound landscape.

Hi David, so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. My Dad died at the age of 57 & your comment about feeling a different person and having a gap in your life really echoed with me as it’s always how I’ve felt since his passing. Condolences Dave & all the best.

A great run down of 1987 here and I loved that you shared a few albums that your Dad enjoyed. Your Dad had shared a similar musical taste with my grandparents so that was lovely to see.

87 was a tremendous year for music. Music for the Masses probably in my Top 5 of the entire decade. Motortown is in my Top 20 songs of the decade for sure.

Awesome work, pal. You've just taken me back to 4th Year Senior School in Liverpool and an endless summer holiday, playing much of this stuff on my boombox and trying (and often failing)😊 to impress girls.

Hi David - sorry to hear of your Dads passing. I lost my Dad a couple of years ago at 96. Fortunately we had been over to the UK on holiday the year before, so that was great. Sadly I couldnt make it to the funeral. Dad was always the rock of the family, so it was pretty upsetting to see him go. But - 96 - what a great knock, and a life worth celebrating.
