this play? completely missed the opportunity to have jefferson come on stage and announce 'i met god. she's black'

Missed an opportunity to turn “Ten Duel Commandments” into “Gods Ten Commandments”

Can't wait to see them put on Heathers where JD and Veronica turn to Jesus and repent for their sins and then convert the whole school to Jesus.

The guy who made that "if I can prove that I never touched my balls" video had more emotion than most of this cast

Illegal Hamilton doesn't even feel real, this feels like a morphed version of Hamilton that my brain would create in a fever dream, only for me to wake up and immediately forget 90% of it.

I guarantee you that king George and Washington are the pastors that wanted to do this show in the first place

@bella-blue13 3 years ago

My biggest question is why they choose Hamilton? A show about love triangles, cheating, wars and guns

"I introduced hundreds of children, to jesus as their growing up"

WHATD SHE DO BLOW UP THE ORPHANAGE?!

I can only assume "CALL ME SON ONE MORE TIME" came from the Hamilton actor having legitimate problems with his father IRL there is no other explanation for how purely and inconsolably furious he sounded

Honestly, I think Burr-kid's lack of enthusiasm is actually terror. As a baby drama kid, a lot of my friends who were having their first roles had similar stage presence-- wasn't that they didn't care, they were just literally shaking.
I feel bad for all of these children. I don't think any of them could have known that their church was being extremely underhanded by putting on this show, and this is in no way their fault. I hope these kids are okay.

The reason Eliza and Maria are played by the same actress is because she's married to the actor that plays Hamilton in real life (they're young, but not minors). According to a girl on TikTok that knows them the church is super strict about dating, to the point where they don't allow handholding in a romantic sense before marriage. That's why they had her play the two women Hamilton is romantic with.

Jefferson is busy fighting his own demons and y'all are laughing. He literally has to fight the ambassador to france every time he looks in the mirror.

Somewhere I read that the actors playing Eliza and Hamilton are actually a couple off stage, which could explain why she was also recast as Maria. Can't have romantic interactions with actors that aren't romantic with each other already :x

I dont even blame these kids. You can't encompass a character when you aren't portraying the story properly. And this is a HARD show to do, directors should've recognized that its not a show they were capable of doing.

If anything, this convinced me that the real star of Hamilton is the rotating stage.

@idkdude2591 1 year ago

I mean the guy playing Washington had every right to be smug in his first song, from what i saw he has the right voice for him, but jeez man he cannot hold a note to save his life

@Emily-te2ox 3 years ago

that poor kid playing Burr probably WAS fighting back the tears. I can only imagine the horrendous anxiety of having to perform in front of a huge audience with little preparation AND without the vocal skills to do your own numbers! I hope he's ok...

They missed a real opportunity to get Mary on stage for "The Womb Where It Happens".

As a theater kid I genuinely felt bad when he forgot his lines until I heard the gum thing 😭

I remember being in Christian productions as a kid, and they demonised harmonies. I don’t know whether it was just my school and church, but they absolutely hated people singing different notes together…which is strange considering that is what the most respected religious choirs in the world pride themselves on. They spoke to us about how harmonies are a devious trick used by the devil to separate us and stop us from being as one whilst singing for god, which again, was weird. Like harmony is literally a word meaning together, but apparently it wasn’t together enough and it was a doorway to the devil?

They just don’t like individuality and will find any way to squash it while pretending they didn’t, and that’s the vibe I’m getting here.
