This is basically how I live my life, except for the part about doing everything properly and with care.

I lived alone in a small studio for twenty years, becoming overeducated and underpaid. I don’t regret a minute of it. Now I am married with three dogs and a wonderful partner, but those years alone and broke made me who I am.❤

I was looking at this video interested and then read "I'm going to cook and stop eating out" shit, I don't know how low salary looks in other countries but here in my country if you eat out one day because you didn't cook you're already screwed in a low income 😅

Saving tip for the electricity bill: unplug what you're not using. Pluged devices keep on consuming electricity unnecessarily and that reflects on the bill.

If you see sale meats, buy it and put it in the freezer. I'm 65 and I live in United States and everything is terribly expensive so I've been doing the same thing for months and months now. This morning I had rice with a piece of salmon (that was on sale) with barbecue sauce
One slice of thin cheese and an egg on top with kimchi.

If you have from work friend in the same situation, switch off one night a week, have dinner at her house and then she can have dinner at your house.

Always made my work lunch the night before then kept it in the fridge. I also made larger batches wherever possible then I had leftovers for lunches or suppers.

Your food looks yummy 😊.  I pack my work lunch.  In U.S. I grab a huge bag of precooked meatballs from Costco because they keep in freezer for a long time.  In morning I pack rice and veggies or fruit.  In a separate bag or container add BBQ sauce and throw a handful of meatballs in it.  At work I heat this up in the microwave then eat at lunch. We don't all have Gordon Ramsey's bank account balance so it's fine to do how we do with what we have 🙋🏻‍♀️😏👍.  Sometimes I use couscous instead of rice.

it always reminds me to dont waste the food, cook wisely, always be grateful, because there are other people who are not as lucky as we are.

Some other cheap sources of protein are natural peanut butter, edamame, eggs, canned tuna, plain greek yogurt, sunflower seeds, beans, oats and milk. There's many more so its worth looking into.

I love that you can buy such tiny portions of food. The garlic is about 1/10 of the US size, but that's always too big! The single miso soup serving. The small container of ginger. Every container was so much smaller than I'm used to. I'll bet that saves a ton of money, and is much more likely to be fully used in time. Japan you have this right.

I recommend preparing your meals in larger batches and storing them in separate lunch boxes. This approach can help reduce the costs of ingredients, fuel, and labor. Each day, you can simply heat the prepped meals in the microwave and serve them with freshly cooked rice. I usually make 1 to 3 main dishes and cook rice on the weekends to prepare for the upcoming week.

I see a full food refrigerator, decent food, nice clothes, good furniture, and a nice house/apartment. You're not doing so badly; don't exaggerate and dont get me wrong please. Even with cheap food and hard work and no money in the end of the month, you have far more than the vast majority of the planet. I highly encourage you to be more grateful because I live in a country where there is real poverty and inequality, where people truly struggle to survive each day of their lives…
