There’s a big misunderstanding that doesn’t become true just because it’s repeated. When you’re a guest in a restaurant, you almost never have to pay to use the toilet.
Pay-to-use toilets are almost always public ones that anyone can access. That kind of generalisation is just stupid.

Normally in restaurants, a few minutes after they give you the menu the waiter comes around and only asks for the drink orders, a few minutes later they will come again to get your food orders

A bed is often divided into two parts because people need different mattresses. If a person weighs 55 kg, they need a different mattress than someone who weighs 115 kg. In addition, some people like to sleep on soft mattresses and others like to sleep on hard mattresses. And then there are orthopedic mattresses that are tailored precisely to the individual and their back problems.

Of course you let the passengers get off the train first and step in after. But when you want to leave the train, go to the door before the train stops. When you are only leaving your seat, when the train already has stopped, the passengers waiting outside the train don't know that there is still someone in that train, that wants to go off the train at this station.

In any half-decent restaurant in Germany waiters will come for your order as soon as they see you put the closed menu on the table. Maybe the video host didn't know but that's etiquette in restaurants in Germany for sure!
They come by super early to set you up with something to drink, so always check the drinks first. The waiter then asks if you've decided on your meal but generally they expect to just take the orders for drinks the first time they serve you.
Usually they will ask - as politely as Germans are capable - if you've decided on your meal again when they bring the drinks, half expecting you have not. If you're not ready by then, they will leave again, no big deal, and they will wait for the closed menus on the table as a sign to take your order. We assume you made your choice when you put the menu down.

Living in Germany for 30 years now. Never heard someone say we had a lack of line culture. 😂 Everywhere I was people are very polite and respect the line.

3:08 no, if you're a guest in a restaurant/bar you don't have to pay for the restroom at all. As a non-guest you just go in and ask politely, if you may use the toilet. They'll either let you go without paying, or they'll tell you the amount of money it cost. Often there's a note at the front door for strangers:  restroom only for guests/ 'amount of money' for strangers. Often toilets  in public buildings e.g. trainstation are only accessable when you
use money to open the little door beforehand. At Autobahn gas stations you mostly have the same situation, but you get a ticket with the amount you spent and afterwards you can use it as a coupon there when you want to buy a coffee or sth.

12:14 Not true! There is a line culture but it depends on the context/situation. At the grocery check out: yes, stand in line respect the line. At a bar or Glühweinstand: you get to a free space along the bar, so no geometrical line, but you still expect to be served in order of arrival, meaning, who got there first should be served first. But of course sometimes servers lose track of who was there earlier and some people exploit that to sneak in before you. But most people will refer the server to you if you were there before them, that's  the polite thing to do. But of course not every customer is polite especially whem they are drunk. When ever you see people forming a line you should also respect that line and queue up.

The problem with people trying to jump lines is not typically German. You can find such asocial people everywhere, even in Britain.

In english you have your own "Hallo!" and it is called: Excuse me?!
Same concept, two different meanings depending on the tone.

In 35+ years across 14 States that I visited in Germany and I'm regularly going to restaurants, I never had to pay to use the toilet?

There is sometimes a little bowl with a lady sitting next to it. You can tip her. She won't deny you entry.

And no, you don't have to know your order. It's a little difficult to explain to an American.

In the USA what you consider a restaurant would be a fast food chain in most of Europe. Same food, same menu across all places.
We do mostly have family or owner run restaurants. We don't have companies that serve food. So if you sit down, they bring you the menu. Since they prepare everything fresh and cook it for you, it can take some time for your food to be ready. There is no massive cooperation behind it that calculates how many meals should be prepared in advance like Cracker Barrel, Chipotle, etc.

What normally happens: you sit down and look at the menu. You order drinks first when you are ready. The waiter will ask if you are ready to order food. If you aren't: Just say you need some time. Especially being there with the whole family and relatives can make it take aittle more time.

After we are done eating, we don't rush away. We sit, maybe eat a dessert, drink an alcoholic beverage or enjoy a coffee or tea. You have the table for yourself. You don't need to keep spending to be seated. If you come often enough, the either the owner or sometimes the chef will sit with you at the table and have a drink.

Good changes daily or at least weekly with a set menu that never changes. Roughly 50% of the dishes are only avaible on that specific day because they bought special fish, meat or vegetables.

I lived in north Carolina. At first I enjoyed cracker Barrel but it quickly got "stale". We would go there because cooking fresh food was equally expensive which is insane.

Oh, an we do have something called "nice toilet." If you see a sign "nice toilet" anywhere in public (Nette Toilette, yellow sign), it shows you the way to a restaurant or something similar where you can use the toilet without being a customer.

You wouldn't just go to a restaurant and without asking use the toilet.
IF you ask, most everyone will let you use the toilet, especially if you are with a kid.

So, as much as I like Walter, he got something really wrong. And I not only speak for Germany but for Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Greece, the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium (the places I have been to in Europe. You can count Turkey as well if you like)

At Christmas markets, it is often not considered stealing to take the mugs with you. The deposit essentially acts as the purchase price. They anticipate that some people will want to keep the beautifully designed mug as a souvenir or for whatever reason.

Having two beds together is a very convenient way of being able to sell the room as either double or twin bedded room as all you need to do is push the beds apart and place one of the bed tables in the middle.

He says "have your order ready", because from the moment you sit down at the table, the waiter gives you 10 minutes to look at the menu, and then comes to the table to take your order. So what Walter is saying is, when you sit down at the table, start reading the menu right away, don't waste time talking or taking selfies :)))

"hallo" like this is more like an "excuse me" - like i am waiting in line so you should too

3:43 We usually do it like this: When the waiter first arrives, drinks are ordered (also for friends who aren't seated yet, for example, because they're going to the restroom. When it comes to drinks, you usually know what you want to drink. With friends, you often know what you want too, or they tell you beforehand.). Once the waiter returns with the drinks, food is ordered.

We also have two mattresses, as not everyone weighs the same. For example, if your wife weighs 65 kg and you weigh 120 kg, your wife needs a "soft" mattress and you need a "hard" mattress, otherwise it will be quite uncomfortable to sleep on, as your wife will feel like she is sleeping on a board and you will sink right through to the floor ;)

If you are drinking beer, you're probably in a pub/ restaurant/ whatever. And wherever you can buy food, you don't have to pay for the toilet.
It's only random public toilets or in malls etc. that you have to pay.

Regarding shared mattresses and blankets: The idea is that, firstly, the weight difference—for example, the man weighs 200 lbs and the woman only 110 lbs—no longer causes the woman to roll onto the man's side. And with two blankets, the struggle over the blanket is eliminated.

I have never had the experience that a waiter just ignores me. Making I contact and raising an arm are enough to signal you want to order more or pay.
The main issue with the phrase "The customer is always right" is that it is only half the phrase. The actual phrase is "The customers is always right in matters of taste".
If you are at the door, people will generally let you leave the train first before getting on board. If you only stand up when the train comes to a stop, the people at the door will not know you want to leave, because they simply don't see you.
