In this video, we take a look at Ang Lee's take on The Hulk and how the character has changed over time. In this argument, I say that looking at the past might be the key to making him interesting again.

This is probably gonna sound crazy but this movie is in my top 5 superhero movies.

People complained about Bana's potrayal lacking emotion. That to me was done for a reason. He had a lot of emotional issues which were buried and subdued throughout. Betty mentioned that as the reasoning behind their break up.

I like Ang Lee's Hulk it's such a unique different type of movie with the Hulk and such a accurate take on the Hulk

I love this movie and love how they reveal the real Hulk a lot more emotional and serious which I loved

A contemporary review that puts this movie in context with other superhero movies and comics, past and present, to do it justice? THANK YOU!!!
Also, I read the first omnibus of Immortal Hulk last month, so awed by how it works as both fam service and a layered literature. It's so similar to this movie, and that's why I love it the most among all other Hulk comics to date!

"I'm not gonna claim this movie is some kind of underrated masterpiece?"
Why not? I'd say it is.

I totally agree with you...more characters in this hulk movie were more serious than what we're getting nowadays

The CGI looks so well integrated in the environment. When watching I kind of buy that he is actually there. A lot of modern CGI looks technically more advanced with a bunch of detail but I have a hard time pretending it's actually there.

Hell. Since nobody's talking about Jennifer here, I will. One of the main reasons I enjoyed Ang Lee's HULK so much was because I sat in a dark theater munchin' on Popcorn waiting to see the same sweet innocent almost virginal performance Jennifer Connelly showed us in her 1991 Cult Movie Hit ' The Rocketeer '!

Just wanna let you know that I am aware of how much time it takes to grow a YouTube channel based on things you're passionate about.
Don't give up, this is a really good video. It's not long but still worth it and insightful, few YouTube channels are like this.

I like all the weird comic book inspired camera work. It's unusual, which is refreshing in today's superhero movie landscape.

I love this a lot more than the Incredible Hulk in 2008. This one has more depth and emotion

This Hulk is just the perfect HULK. The complexity, the anger are just part of the beauty. Too bad people judged only from CGI perspective. Imagine if Ang Lee have the technology back then, and how people would react. Or better, imagine if Ang Lee has the right to do it once again in the upcoming Hulk movie without Agenda or any intervention just pure passion to create such a complex character with sad background, true form of its power, and great storyline.

It was ahead of its time considering that Batman Begins came out a few years later

I'll make the claim: Ang Lee's Hulk is an underrated masterpiece, one of the absolute best films I've ever seen.
I also think Joker is a masterpiece.
