Wow. This was fantastic. You did an amazing job with the commentary. I'm glad to now know more about Hulks character. This video deserves more likes and you deserve more subscribers. I'm shocked this doesn't have thousands of likes.

I was surprised to find that this story was originally buried away in the "Secret Wars II" crossover. I owned the comic, but since it said that it was a part of a larger story, I ignored it until I got ahold of the Omnibus a few years ago. When I got to this issue (the pages from Incredible Hulk #312 anyway. The older ones with Hulk's green outline in a few panels), I felt dumb for putting it off for so long! Most especially since I love 2003's "Hulk", which took inspiration from that story specifically.

Bruce should not be compared to Jekyll and Hyde
He has more in common with the Wolfman. Both struggle to control their darker personalities. For Talban, it's the Wolfman and for Bruce, it's The Hulk.
Hulk doesn't work as a boring "Superhero" but because of his popularity Marvel keep inserting him into major storylines and resetting his status quo back to 0
Seriously it is very hard to enjoy a character when all their development keeps getting thrown out the window and every goes back to the boring status quo. Also As much as I respect Peter David, I think he made the Hulk too convoluted with the multiple personalities. Things got more ridiculous during Immortal Hulk and the "One below all" which goes against everything the character is suppss to be about
This is why I avoid mainstream Superhero comics. They just ruin everything!
