6:22 She acts as if she's been doing back breaking construction for 20 years and is owed something.

She lied to her audience about her vault palettes, put out absolutely disgusting lipsticks, lied again, ruined that girl who owned the original Koze brand,  refused to adress it, sold crappy jewellery "inspired" by someone else's work,  lied about her brand being "family owned" and her own when it was actually Morphe, bought followers.... And then wonders where her "true fans" have gone ??? Really, Jackie ?

i'm sure its a poor/un-influential person's mentality to say this, but do people just not get that they have enough? Like, you were the moment in the 2010's, you were IT. Things are naturally slowing a bit now but look at the life you have?? Like, literally living the dream?? I think if she genuinely took a beat and practiced true gratitude, it would come across in her content. And deep recognition of where this lifestyle came from, it would also inform what content to make. Even better, find other pursuits so that the social media becomes less of a pressure and the desperation can ease up

The whole thing about her complaining about the algorithm really feels like the middle-aged boss who somehow despite being in a position of Authority and being in the field this entire time doesn't understand any of the software you've been using in the office for years. Yet despite them making 6 figures, they don't get why you need a raise. Just because you're wealthy enough and high enough up not to have to do the work doesn't mean you shouldn't understand it.

I’m so sick of creators asking us what we want to see. She has access to her analytics. She can put in the time and research. Imagine if i went to my job and asked them what they wanted from me after 14 years of doing my job? Come on. Get a grip, Jaclyn.

I think it's bc we are tired seeing ppl live lives we only dream of. At one point it felt relatable and inspirational to us that we might one day get to experience such wealth or ease of life but as time goes we see we will never get to that point. It's not that we are hating ppl for being wealthy, rather protecting our own sanity by readjusting our priorities. At least that's my pov🖤

influencers are just grifters, they will sell their soul for likes, views and money.  People are tired of undisclosed adverts, rich people getting things for free and their luxury homes/hauls when real people are struggling.

100%. People are stressed, and tired of being advertised to. We like learning, and nature, and the idea that life can be enjoyed without buying something new every second day.

I don’t want to be sold to constantly. I don’t want to watch luxury hauls anymore. It used to be aspirational. I can’t stand to watch someone spend my mortgage on a purse anymore. Every bill I pay is up. I no longer want aspirational content, I want to watch something about styling my closet rather than buying more and declutter all the time. It’s so wasteful. Buying a purse to know you’re going to return it when luxury brands destroy it and send it to the landfill. It’s disgusting. Why is she always buying stuff when she has a closet full of clothes.

She’s the age of a lot of us “girls” she keeps referring to….well in 14 years since she’s started and we started watching her, our own lives have changed. Many of us have gotten married and/or had children…so moving on is spot on. We all moved on to different areas of our life…sorry not sorry l Jacklyn but you’re not at the top of our priority list anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️

I gotta stop checking YouTube right before bed. Now I’ve gotta stay up 😌 such is life

She has been doing this for almost 15 years and yet still dose not realize how the algorithm works? The algorithm has always favored frequent and consistent uploads. I remember right before she launched her lipsticks her fans saying that she was uploading again after months so she must be getting ready to launch something. They know she’s just trying to get them to buy her crap.

I consider the career lifespan of being a well known influencer/content creator similar to that of an athlete. It should be assumed the career will last 10 years If you're lucky, especially if there's controversy.

14-15 years of being a rather well known influencer seems like a long career given the internet's fast pace. Influencers should be setting themselves up for life during their peak instead of blowing the money on flex culture or repeated bad business ventures. Jaclyn is lucky she's maintained an audience as long as she has thru bad business practices and all the changes in social media. Hopefully she doesn't fall into the obvious grifting pipeline.

I think she is starting to realize that she cant grow beyond her current numbers. She is seeing people surpass her and she will never get that relevance back. She only appeals to our nostalgia for the 2010s and she isn't that person anymore. The people who left are now married and are moms. She is stunted at that 2010 personality as a creator with nothing but time and money.

I think it is pretty crass, that she is literally asking smaller creators for tips. (9:50) For one, like girl, take a seat. Let folks have success too. And secondly, is she admitting that she thinks smaller creators are doing better than her and she is low key crowdsourcing tips about it? I swear huge influencers are the most entitled moochers ever. „Guys, like, tell me how to be the queen be again and keeping making more money even though you are new and also deserve a chance.“

Jackie unfortunately is completely out of touch. There is a saying in polish which basically translates to "platform left the train" and it fits so well 😂😂.
I really hope that this is just beginning of this. I really don't like what influencing become. Or actually I didn't liked it to begin with. I enjoy content creators, but influencers, to me, just mean consumerism to the max.

Mentioning that she has been on food stamps seems super manipulative to me. She's just trying to act like she can relate to people struggling. She lost that privilege when she started making her first million and that's OK. It's ok to be successful and make money. The problem is how you act once you have the money and the success. I think her problem is that her materialism is all she has. She doesn't enjoy social media like she used to and so she focuses on things she can purchase to make her feel complete and fulfilled but meanwhile, us poors can't relate and simply don't want to be bombarded with stuff we will never be able to afford. Also constant consumerism is BORING. No one has time to just watch rich people spend money, life changing money for some, on something frivolous. It's her right to do as she wishes with her money but she can't expect us to be ok with watching. Also, when she's asking what we want to see, I find that frustrating too, as you mentioned, people are TELLING her what they want but she doesn't want to hear it because again, I don't think she has a passion for socials anymore, it's just a job to her now and a means to protect the lifestyle she has accumulated. I follow her (although at this point I don't know why) and I scroll past her stuff so fast without even giving it a chance now because I KNOW what she'll post and that she's just trying to sell, sell, sell. Not interesting and not worth it.

Okay but on top of the lying and the bad make up launches and more lying and being just a not great person in general, how in the seven hells does she expect to "connect" with her audience with her type of output? If she's not throwing something in your face to buy, she talks about luxury hauls or eating caviar "more casually" on McNuggets.  Meanwhile her audience is likely struggling with rising prices of everything and are lucky to be able to eat out at all.

"People are dying, Kim" really comes to mind with her.

“Hi I’m an influencer. Please tell me how to be an influencer and get more views.” Honey, it’s Hollywood. One day you’re in, the next day you’re out.

She lied to her followers and is out of touch? Yes. But I do understand and take her point when she started talking about tiktok when she says she has x amount of followers and barely a fraction get to see her content. In the early days of instagram (i'm a tattoo artist) it was so easy to get people to see you and what you did for a living, was easier to get costumers, to connect, now every little thing is behind a paywall, including reaching people who chose to follow you. Nowadays I'm changing my career to not rely as much on social media.
