Hi Helen! It is such a pleasure to watch your videos! The thoroughness with which you approach a new and so far quite a mysterious product is vibrating on the same wavelength with my mind. I also have to agree with the people in the comments section that this product is apparently suffering from an inexplicable and inexcusable lack of advertising and marketing, rising more questions than answers for all of us. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
But until then, I send you a big hug and many thanks for your time, experience, funds and hard work that you put into these videos for us all. 🤗 Ciao!

Thanks so much for this! I remember when Neocolor used to offer some of those colors you mentioned, like Saffron—it really stood out to me. I actually inherited a 40+ year old box that has 15 extra colors, and it’s such a treasure!

I've always referred to you when considering a purchase of art materials. But this is such an outstanding, organized and comprehensive comparison of these great materials! I'll certainly be saving it as a reference. You are such a valued resource and source of inspiration. We're so lucky to have the results of your hard work here on YouTube. Thanks so much Helen!

Hi Helen,
It was me who wrote about Neoart being an oversized sort of Luminance, picking pigment with a brush and about using them as a base layer blended with solvent. Thank you for the video! It is very useful!
If I may, some observations that might be of use:
1. When I use solvent to blend coloured pencils, I lay more pigment than just one layer. If the teeth of the paper is still apparent, it is impossible to obtain a homogeneous layer of colour.
2. I only used HP watercolour paper for my coloured pencil drawings, meaning that it is much easier to have quite smooth layers of colours even using light pressure and it is perfect when using the solvents (wet).
I will definitely get one of these Neoart and make some experiments with it.
Thanks again!

Thanks for yet another great review. What I'm finding most intriguing about these is the way they show the grain of the paper, and how well Luminance stick to it if not heavily filled in. I love playing with visibly layered color, as opposed to blending them together as you do, so I can envision a watercolor underpainting, lightly gone over with neoart, and details with the luminance. But, might be the same with neo 1 aside from lightfastness. I never thought to try it. I'll pick up a few of my fave colors next time I place an order to give them a whirl, but good to know it's not urgent 🙄. I appreciate your comparative swatching... that was an act of love to put that much time into it for us. Thanks too for the pastel paper sample.

Very, very informative!!! Thanks for doing all that work for us. I feel all my questions have been answered! ❤

I love the pastel paper example. It would need a different technique than soft pastel. I can see myself doing that. (I can’t cope with the texture of soft pastel, no matter how pretty they are)
I really like the idea of pastel drawing without all the powdery dust and smudging

This is an excellent review! I appreciate how you compare the Neoarts with the Neocolor 1, Neocolor 2, and Neopastels. Thank you! :-)

I love that you've finally covered something that I don't want to rush out and buy ASAP 😆. I think that Caran D'Ache are currently riding high and are trying their very best to benefit from this. Everybody loves opening a new tin/box of Caran D'Ache "something". Also, just checking that you had your lab coat on for this one? x

It was really interesting to see more exploration of this product! Still feel that they aren’t for me, but supplies are so subjective and I’m sure they’re probably exactly what some people want 😊.
