Did you like the other seasons of Psycho Pass or do you wish it ended after the first?

What bothers me the most about the system is how often it is the cause of crimes itself. People who are flagged can have their whole lives ruined, so they crash out because they have no hope. In the first episode, we see a woman fall into despair because her enhanced state made her a threat. The man who assaulted her tells her as such. He'd know because it happened to him. The system didn't recognize bullying as anti-social behavior, but being upset from experiencing said bullying did make someone cloudy. The guy who was hacking drones to get back at his coworkers could have been saved if the people hurting him were stopped in the first place. Abuse is just accepted, and people aren't allowed to be upset about it.

0 crime co-efficient Makishima still gives me chills, truly a diety among anime characters.

I remember watching psycho-pass when I was 12 and not really understanding the full implications. When I watched it again when I was 24... Perspective changed completely.

Dude, your voice is absolutely perfect for narrating stories and your script writing skills are undeniable. I'll be watching your career with great interest!

Feel like I need to mention that the retired psychologist professor lives in Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water house. S Tier architecture.

Terrifying that between Black Mirror, Psycho-Pass and Cyberpunk it's becoming more and more realistic. These all were supposed to be a concept at one point.

The first season of psycho pass is one of the greatest shows of all time.

Psycho-Pass has some of the most eerie and thought-provoking world building I've seen. It seems so terrifying because how much our current day issues mirrors that of Psycho-Pass' lore

Fantastic video. I really like how you actually highlighted that the Sybll system is not just about justice, but about making society stable. That's what sets the protagonist apart from the system.

This is one of those series helmed initially by Gen Urobuchi that absolutely nails that existential, nihilistic vibe that he brings to the works he touches upon. I absolutely love Psycho Pass 1st season. There's something to be said about this series growing legs and trying to expand as the world built in this limited series was ripe for expansion.

But I am of the opinion that it utilized its 1 season to its with incredible effectiveness that I felt like it has said all it needed to said about the themes it wanted to dive into. I really like the ending of season 1 because it shows that there is this hopeful tone that there can possibly be some changes within by compromising but it did not dismiss the fact that doing that is NOT the only solution and all in all, the complexity and nuance of humanity will always be a work in progress.

Thank you for highlighting this wonderful series.

1:00 Psycho Pass literally predicted Covid 😂

Whoa sock, you mean ALL of Psycho Pass? If you can break up Steins, you can surely break up Psycho Pass.

You have put me onto multiple animes i have yet to see and everyone I've ended up watching has been great.  Thanks sensei!

Huge upload, i feel like this is one of those shows that were lost to time and sequelitis. That first season gripped us all so hard and then kind of lost its central theme as time went on, and it lost its status as a great series. Standalone, i think season 1 is still top 15 for me. Banger vid for a banger show dawg.
Also she psych my pass till i o

Watching s1 and s2 made think early on that akane might be a psychopath with how well she could keep her number despite all the wack stuff she had been into

Boy is this oddly accurate of 2020-2025 so far lol

I love these videos, not only because they introduce me to such awesome anime but also because when I have watched said anime before, these deep dives pick up things I didn't even consider on my first watch

Psycho pass be like yes i am deep but look, cool pew pew transforming gun

The first matrix I designed was quite naturally perfect, it was a work of art, flawless, sublime. A triumph equaled only by its monumental failure. The inevitability of its doom is as apparent to me now as a consequence of the imperfection inherent in every human being, thus I redesigned it based on your history to more accurately reflect the varying grotesqueries of your nature. However, I was again frustrated by failure. I have since come to understand that the answer eluded me because it required a lesser mind, or perhaps a mind less bound by the parameters of perfection.
