Deadpool in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is a love letter to not just fighting games, but the fighting game community. In a way only Deadpool can, he takes moves from other games, makes jokes and references about those games, and of course even says a couple swear words (don't tell my mom). So I set out to find as many of these references as I could!

He's probably met every single fictional character ever

Another fun reference in Japanese! "Oyajiiiii!!!" Sometimes when blowing up at the finale is when Dan blows himself up.

Funny thing about the Zato-1 backwards walk.

...guess who Deadpool also shares a voice with in Japanese.

Oh man, if we were to find every Deadpool reference from EVERY language spoken in Marvel Tokon, we would be here for probably more than 12 hours lol

Also - if Aaron is also planning on doing a Costume Origins for Marvel Tokon characters, that'll take me for a ride!

9:38 - a minor fix: not just Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but all the way back in Marvel Super Heroes.

18:16 - 18:21 Reminds me of when someone mentioned that DP’s VA in, Turkish I think, is also Thor’s VA and in DP & Wolverine they make a few references to it.

Deadpool like many stuff when they have a hard place for him. Even his 4th wall break and talking his head works in PG theme. Plus in Marvel VS Capcom 3 he said when fighting Ryu "I freaking love Street Fighter" we can see why he loves reference that series a lot.

12:58 Voldo also does a simpler move in the Soul Calibur games

2:49 The splits into groin punch move is a reference to Mortal Kombat, but Mortal Kombat did it as a reference to Jean-Claude Van Damme who did it in 1988's Bloodsport.

I'm probably never going to play this game, but this is super fucking rad. They put so much thought into this. Real passion there, that doesn't get done by a corporation. Thank you for making this video.

I choose to believe there has some hidden/niche Killer Instinct reference in there somewhere that no one has figured out yet. Feels like a crime to at least not include COMBO BREAKER somewhere.
