I feel so blessed to be old enough to watch this master piece at the theater.

My mum took me to see Ray Charles, hidden under her coat, aged about 5 I guess. My instructions were ‘Stay close’. Best free gig I ever attended!

Donald "Duck" Dunn is such a great bassist. It's not just the notes, it's the feel.

This movie has a special with me, those times, the people, filled with unique character, the world back then, and most of all, the extravaganza of musical talent and car chases

In Ancient Greek, the idea of a “genius” relates to someone seen as channelling inspiration or a guiding spirit. Both Dan and John and especially Ray Charles are true geniuses.

My mom and dad were born in 1931 and '29.
I rented this movie right after it came out and played it for them. I was pleasantly surprised, they loved it, they loved the music.

At 3:47 the piano keys are reflected in Ray's sunglasses on his closeup. Simply brilliant!

I remember seeing this at the show as a teenager. This scene brought down the entire house. Everyone was totally into it.

Director John Landis was remarkably skilled at filming music videos. He definitely had a knack for it. It's no wonder he was hired to do Michael Jackson's classic "Thriller" video. This scene here from "The Blues Brothers" movie is sooooooooooooo good! 😃
