Gary Busey, Don Straud & Charles Martin Smith give a stunning live performance in the The Buddy Holly Story movie. They were exceptional ! and yes they actually played the instruments and sang live in the movie. As far as Im concerned, the movie is great, despite the inaccuracies. This movie inspired me to take up guitar.

A fisherman friend of mine often sang this as we were fishing, in the days just after this song of Buddy's came out. Such awesome memories this song brings to me, each time I hear this.

As a musician I couldn’t imagine being that tight and taring the roof off the joint like that ever

Rock & Roll, soul music brought cultures together. The things went down from there.

I was about 13 when he died. What a star and what a loss. I can sing along (badly) with every word.

"We weren't expecting Ya'll either" Classic! He won them over! We are all of one race! The human race! There are no 2nd class citizens in God's eyes!
