Lucy Gray, a performer forced to fight
Katniss Everdeen, a fighter forced to perform

No but seriously, imagine you're Snow and Katniss volunteers, she's from District 12 like Lucy Gray, wearing a MockingJay pin, wins the games like Lucy Gray, the MockingJay becomes a symbol of district defiance and now she's bowing like Lucy Gray in defiance, she escapes a second games you set up just to kill her, and is now she's singing Lucy Gray's Hanging Tree song in a propo that goes viral and becomes the battle song for the rebelling districts. No wonder dude was losing his mind towards the end. Dude was being haunted by his ex.

48:14 Katniss father named her after the root. “You’ll never starve if you can find yourself” he told her

Shame they didn’t include snows inner thoughts because thanks to them in the books is clear that he doesn’t see Lucy as a person just as his property

That guy at the beginning was eating human corpse, not the dog lol

OF COURSE that's her singing. Rachel Zegler is super talented in theatre

And snow will forever be haunted by Lucy Gray

Not every manipulator and narcissist turns up a dictator and a killer. Young Snow never was a good person, but he was not entirely bad either. He just choose every wrong turn on this road.

Viola Davis crushed this role she always kills it she’s incredible

So fun fact, not only did the Hunger Games continue on but the Capital likely realized they had to make being a Victor appealing to the districts because the very next year Mags the old lady that was Finnick's District Partner was the victor of the 11th Hunger Games and she had the very first Victory Tour.

Honestly after learning that Snow pimped out the victors and murdered their families if they disobeyed victors like Lucy Gray had it good with just being sent home and forgotten about

Ok a few thing. First of all the symbolism for snow becoming his father is amazing. He throws away the rose compartment as the water ruined it and his mom gave it to him. He also threw away a picture of his family with Tigress. All that was left was his father. And Gaul is by far the evillest character in the whole series

In the books we know the inner thought of Snow, he always feels superior to others and believes he deserves everything, looking for ways to exploit those around him, regardless of who he has to eliminate in the process.

"I like Sejanus"
WELP....I GOT BAD NEWS FOR YOU BUDDY

I sense a Lord of the Rings (extended edition of course) reaction. I feel it in the water, I feel it in the Earth, I smell it in the air.

Editor here, hi 👋🏻 😅

Yes that's actually Rachel singing. She's got a lovely voice.

Something that you miss in the movie that’s in the book is that he DID love Lucy Grey, and when he got back to the capitol he swore he’d never do that again because he knew that love made him soft and what he thought would be “weak,” so he married for connections and doesn’t care for his wife children or granddaughter that you see later on. However much he loved Lucy Grey though, it was still a manipulative form of love and he still always had his best interests at heart, she just happened to align with that for awhile

Remember in Mockingjay part two when they went into the capital and there were those that one woman who look like a tiger her name was Tigris President Snow’s cousin

2:55 that’s the best thing about this franchise. They make you realise that people aren’t born monsters, no matter how evil they become later in life because of their circumstances and choices

I can not wait for Sunrise on the Reaping. I've wanted to see Haymitch's Hunger Games since its first description in Catching Fire (the book).
