3:09 "Lies? In your House of God?"
That line lives rent-free in my head.

“Lies, in your house of god?” Is absolutely my favourite line

Fun fact- the camera focusing on the glass window mosaics of Jesus while the priest gets killed is because there's an old movie tradition of doing so when a clergymember dies, often with condensation (or blood, depending on context) streaking down the window to show Jesus "crying" over the loss of one of his faithful.
But here, Jesus is not weeping- his eyes are dry as he observes dispassionately, utterly unmoved by the grisly fate of one who did so much in his name- because as the scriptures would put it, "I never knew you- depart from me."

Shout out to the Random Night Creature that steals the show for a few minutes.

So, the show doesn't dwell on Trevor's line "the whip is consecrated for killing vampires and demons", but if you go into game lore, it basically involves a willing ritual sacrifice from someone with a completely pure soul, who was ready to give their life for the good of all life and light, to imbue the whip with the power to strike down every creature of hell. That happened generations before Trevor. The "trade-off" so to speak is that no one can wield it other than a Belmont. It's not just a regular whip blessed by a priest or dunked in holy water or anything. And, its name is Vampire Killer (or, The Vampire Killer).

"Please! This isn't a bar fight. Have some class."

I will never be normal about Alucard

If Sypha was intro'd as best girl, Alucard is being intro'd this ep as best waifu.

The main trio is finally united.
The badass, the beautiful, and Trevor.

Bishop: "God is in all of his churches!"
Demon: "Yeah, but that was before you came along. He just stepped out to get some milk and cigarettes"

Alucard's sword is an heirloom from Lisa's family, it was blessed by her and Alucard can use his magic to telepathically control it.

“Your life’s work makes Him puke” brings chills.

There are SO MANY iconic lines from this episode. Blue Fang, Sypha, Alucard, even our Belmont Himbo get in on the word smithing.

"Witch!"

"No! I am a Speaker, and a scholar of magic! I serve no demon and I do no evil!"

I love this introduction to Sypha in this episode.

A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walk into Wallachia

I think the reason the Demons didnt fly up in that scene with the ice walls is their wingspan is too large and the ice might burn and damage their wings if they try. It burned when the Demon touched it with its hand.

Just wanna point this out Alucard is technically a Dhampir.

There's no fall damage in the Castlevania games, so them surviving all those collapses is perfectly on brand.

I like how this episode demonstrated not only Trevor's combat prowess, but also his battle tactics, both in mobilizing the people of Gresit against the night creatures, and in his fight with Alucard.
You can see at 17:26 Trevor bait Alucard into the air with the dagger throw, which gives him a shot with the whip. And when Alucard disarms the whip, Trevor adapts by rushing him with his shortsword for close combat. He even gave himself an opportunity to finish the vampire off when at Alucard's mercy, even if at the cost of his own life.
Trevor's a PRO in this episode compared to how he was introduced.
