im old so not gen z but DONT FELL BAD FOR BEING BAD AT ROMANCE
i remmember flirting with my girlfriend for like a month and at one point i made a joke about some one flirting with her and she said " oh what? i never notice that i flys right over my head" so me shock i just told her " awww so all the time i was flirting with you it was for nothing???" the change on her she look like a panic cornered animal. she responded something like "what? why?wait with what intention?!?!?!? why would you do that??? "

Had a girl that I was hardcore flirting with for THREE WEEKS after I had known them for a year and I literally took them to a nice spot by a creek I live by where my grandpas ashes were scattered (definitely my bleed out spot) cupped their face and looked into their eyes. AND THEY DIDN’T THINK ANYTHING OF IT! Ended up confessing to them in the back of their car during the pouring down rain the next day. Remember: some people are denser than the center of the sun. So if flirting doesn’t work then punch them in the face. Now 23 and never been happier.

Edit: damn, my most liked comment is about my girlfriend. So uhhh… does this make me socially inclined to talk about her? Well we’ve been together for four years and as many of you guessed she is ADHD with autism coding (I just call her autistic to bother her.) and we are really happy together, I recently got her a pink choker and accidentally pinched her neck with it and drew blood. So she was uhh… kinda upset about that, but I cooked her spaghetti and she became happy again. I remind her every day how short she is.

Definitely liked the new video format Cae!! As a GenZ myself I'd wager people need to take a crash course on courting cause it trult is a lost art lmao

Also worth mentioning. Every single person is unique, and therefore every single relationship is unique. My first, only, and current romance started and progressed completely differently to everything said in this video, and that is not only normal but should maybe be expected.
Most importantly, Clear Communication Is Key! For every type relationship, romantic, platonic, familial, business, and even strangers.

Gen z here i haven't tried to court anyone yet but i hope to do so in the future but right now life is busy for me. I hope everyone has a great day

For anyone who doesn't feel confident enough. Fake it until you make it. Genuinely confidence is a skill and if you pretend you are confident about certain parts of yourself one day you will actually be

Some parents: You're an adult, why aren't you able to find a partner and give me grandkids yet?
Those same parents: The only sexual/romance education teens need is that premarital eye contact will get them sentenced to eternal damnation.

People be like “your teenage years are super important! Don’t waste em!” Meanwhile I had zero emotions or friends and the pandemic helped me put because I didn’t have to take my meds anymore

Edit: in case anyone is sad I’m in my mid 20s and SO MUCH HAPPIER!! Also I’m aromantic lol

I still dont know WHAT flirting is!
I was once accused of doing it, and it destroyed a friendship…but i dont know what i did?

Covid was hell considering I’m neurodivergent

Not me finding my boyfriend on Cae's Minecraft server. :_wave:

Also about the beginning of the video. The problem isn't that people are f'ed. It's that they aren't.

I'm happy my bf and I just asked each other, "Hey. Wanna date?", after a month of being friends. We've been dating for about a year and a half now

I am Gen Z just because of when I was born (99) but I somehow learned it! Mainly by being a persistent idiot

Actually trying to meet someone online is miserable. Nobody actually tries to have a conversation with you, just "k" "yea" "sure" GIVE ME SOMETHING TO WORK WITH

My whole thing is that I don’t date someone if I’m not attracted to them, and people find that crazy. I like girls, and when things don’t work out people say: “there are other girls who like girls” as if my standards are just… other lesbians. Straight guys would be pissed if I said “it’s fine, there are other girls who like guys.” Because you don’t necessarily like someone just because they’re the same sexual orientation as you. It’s really really annoying that people think I’ll just settle for any random woman, when really I can’t feel much for anyone other than one specific person. It’s stereotypes and stigma, and it screws me over.

Wait that's genius, courtships is way more easy... if you see it as gambling! >:3c

They're bad at it because Gen z has a problem with being genuine or authentic. Its oddly seen as cringe. Its gonna be hard to get into a serious relationship if youre both pretending to be someone else.

Story of my boyfriend of two years :D
1) met on vrchat, got a lil friend group goin on
2) another guy in the group (mostly jokingly) says i'm flirting with my soon-to-be boyfriend, i go "crap i guess i am, plus he's kinda cute idk" and he goes "WAIT THE CUTE GIRL WASN'T JUST BEING FRIENDLY"
3) we talk privately about what we want in a relationship/lifestyle/dynamic/etc (that same night) and we decide that we're a great fit and decide to try this dating thing
4) happily ever after? been dating two years with only a few bumps in the road (mostly due to his more extreme conservative background and my PTSD :D - we're both christian but not the bigot kind, more the "hey jesus told us to love?" kind lol)

communication and honesty is at the core of any healthy relationship, romantic, platonic, whatever. The only "arguments" i've had with my bf has been when communication failed in one way or another (either by something slipping one of our minds, or by not meeting unspoken expectations.

i'm oversimplifying here but welcome to talk about my beloved to anyone who'll listen <3

I really appreciate the "this is based on personal opinions" section. So many people on Youtube don't do this, but it is really nice to have.  Thank you!

In my experience the more willing to engage in it you are the less you get along with people. Girls, boys, it doesn't matter people are so unwilling to so much as try or commit that if you go in with the intent to get something genuine you just get denied outright. If you go in slowly and act a lot less genuine for some reason you can get along but even then you'll just end up stuck in the friend zone. So frankly I've just realized that people are legitimately cowards when it comes to love. The amount of times just forcing two people to come out with it has worked is alarming.
