L.A. Noire Review | L.A. Noire Remastered Review [ S6 Ep.6 ]

In this in depth review of L.A. Noire, I take a closer look at one of the most unusual and ambitious games Rockstar ever published and find out how well it still holds up today.

This is a game I had wanted to revisit for a long time, because few titles blend detective work, cinematic storytelling, and awkward facial doubt quite like this one. L.A. Noire is not without its flaws, but it remains a very distinctive experience and a game that still stands apart from just about everything else.

In the video, I go over what makes L.A. Noire so memorable, from its case structure and interrogation system to its atmosphere, writing, open world, and the strange balance between brilliant ideas and frustrating limitations. I also talk about the different desks, the overall story, and why this game can be both deeply impressive and occasionally maddening at the same time.

L.A. Noire was developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2011. It was later released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2017.
