What's in My Backpack? Cotswold Way Edition

I walked the entire Cotswold Way with a big heavy pack on my back. Watch this video, to find out what was inside, as I empty the contents into a must have pile and a do without pile. Will I learn to take less next time?

Hi Andy
Just letting you know that I have just returned to Tasmania, Australia after doing 700 km of the South West Coast Path from Minehead to Mothecombe Beach (River Erme) - May 8th to June 29th. It was a life changing experience, a physical challenge as well as enduring gale force winds with rain and two historic heat waves. The scenery was immense, such an explosion of colour overwhelming the senses at times. Incredible and amazing history across the walk. Favourite leg: Crackington Haven to Tintagel. Top three hardest legs: Hartland Quay to Bude, St Ives to Pendene, Combe Martin to Woolacombe. Favourite town: Fowey. I did the Walk in a bit of a novel way, my wife and daughter came along as well (not walking) and we hired a car. This meant we could base ourselves in the same accomodation for 3/4 nights and shuttle between start and end points. Also meant I only needed a day pack. Thanks for your inspiration Andy, your SWCP series gave me the spark to make the long journey and have such an amazing walk. I intend to come back and do the remaining 300 km within the next three years.

Congratulations on completing the hike and thanks for the video. I think you could easy knock a few more kilos off the red pile, I would take way less clothes. Personally I carry an x mid as im already carrying trekking poles, if you make those changes you could then also change to a smaller lighter backpack.
