After months of planning, the day had finally arrived… our first ever European caravan adventure! 🚐🇫🇷
In this episode, we hitch up at home and begin the 1,000-mile journey to the South of France. Our first stop is Black Horse Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club Site, just 10 minutes from Dover, before catching an early morning ferry across the Channel.
From there, we tackle over 500 miles through France, stopping overnight at a lovely little campsite before setting off on the final five-and-a-half-hour drive to our dream destination, Esterel Caravaning.
But after three days on the road, over 1,000 miles of towing, a ferry crossing, fuel stops and so much excitement… we arrive to hear the words no caravanner ever wants to hear:
“We don’t have a booking for you.”
What followed was one of the most stressful moments we’ve ever experienced on a caravan holiday.
