Imagine Jeff isn't in on it and it's just a show to scare Jeff

13:17 something about Danny basically headcanoning the monster hunter as gay is funny to me

the fact that there is a guy named trapper who is not the one who builds the traps is incredible

3:46 for my non southern viewers he said "me and my brother willie, were gonna go on around this cabin, were gonna get up there and put our eyeball on it, see what the hell is going on with our team members"

The recurring bit about these guys accusing the skeleton of killing the Stonish Giant had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe

watching this video was wild because i work in a psych ward as security and one of the patients was fixated on this show and explained the entire plot to me over a span of four hours including a tearful monologue about the tribute episode to one of the people who apparently died on the show. The guy was 100% convinced it was real and was warning me about going certain areas in america due to some huge wolves that they hunted on the show. It was honestly one of the most memorable patient interactions from last year.

These lads managed to turn LARPing and goofing off with friends into a hilarious, 11-year old career. Never stop

My husband and I were so obsessed with this show. After the actor who plays Trapper died in real life, they decided on the show that he'd left them a special "Lore" book that leads them on mystery solving adventures. The later seasons have a like sketchy imaginary MIB type government organizations trying to stop them from finding monsters. It's literally a bunch of dudes playing pretend. The show is just as crazy as it seems in your review and only gets crazier in later seasons. Wild Bill also delivers a lot of incredible content and was quoted in an interview as saying that filming this show "saved his life" as it gave him direction/a way to process his ptsd after discharging from the marines.

There was one episode where an enemy hunting team set this huge fire and left a bunny hanging from a tree (I believe inside out) and wild bill goes "should we give it cpr". One of the other guys just goes "no bill, it's dead" in an extremely annoyed tone. That exchange floored me, 10/10 show

Honestly, I kinda respect that these guys have managed to turn running around in the woods and screaming about monsters into a nearly 11 year long career in television.

As an avid consumer of the Mountain Monster Universe, I can explain the guys in masks kidnapping the gang, this was part of the Rival Monsters Hunters Arc, and their whole thing is that they were evil because unlike our heroic southern gang who just trap monsters, these guys kill them, they also just kinda dick around and kidnap them because they wanna be top dog in the monster hunting world

0:21 the lips of the danny on screen line up with danny voiceover saying "pond monster"

this show has the same energy as a bunch of kids playing pretend and tbh I love that for them

Honestly this seems so fun, like these middle-aged men are just out here living their best lives. Making a full-on career out of basically running around, screaming and playing in the woods and what not

I love how Danny never explained what the hell the "Stonish Giant" even is. We were just kinda along for the ride

7:23 freak of the woods

Every single time, that clip of Jeff screaming in abject terror sends me into hysterics. Poor Jeff

I'd like to imagine that Jeff is the only one who doesn't know it's fake, and this is all an extremely elaborate prank

As a mountain monster, this is highly disturbing.

9:04 the little glances at the camera after each line is so funny to me
