As someone who read exclusively this genre of wattpad fiction for like 3 years, this video felt like someone just broke into my house and is now judging the interior.

i am genuinely impressed by the actors. how did they say all these lines with a straight face? i don't think i'd be able to say "my alpha" or "beta luke" without cringing.

Biggest flex surely has to be living in a medieval castle while everyone else lives in the 21st century, forcing your staff to dress like peasants and refusing to give them a phone made after 2005. Truly the most Alpha in the land

The thing I hate most is that they say wolf packs have an alpha. They don't. Wolf packs follow a family structure. You don't get to be in charge after KO'ing your dad. You get grounded. You get to be in charge after moving out. Like wolves

“the moon goddess gave us another” has got to be the funniest way to fill a plot hole

The story of Kurtis being forced to defend a medieval castle that his neighbor built across the street from an army of goblins is genuinely ten times more interesting than the werewolf stuff

Someone fed every werewolf wattpad story into an AI and it spit out this script.

22:30 it's like a symbiote. they can talk to it but they can also let it take over. basically what i'm saying is that this is the prequel to venom.

the best thing about this to me is the fact that "Tinfanny" was probably a typo because at the end when she gets banished, Alexander actually says "Tiffany", but it wasn't even that unbelievable because of how out of pocket the rest of the movie is

I cannot believe someone turned those absolute garbage web novels into movies, but they honestly stayed faithful to the original source content in all ways. The bad dialogue, the wooden scenarios, the dramatic highschool bs, the paying money for miniscule chapter updates....perfectly matched.

I’m actually laughing so hard at the way the wolf says “the moon goddess gave us another 💁‍♀️”

14:25 Beta Drake dropping "God's Plan" except it's about how women ought to save themselves for marriage💀

i read enough cursed fanfic in middle school to know that the telepathy thing is probably one of those "telepathic bond with your mate" tropes, not full super power telepathy, and i'm guessing the creators didn't care enough to sprinkle that fact in when they just ripped all this dialogue from a wattpad fic without including any of the descriptive text lmaooooo

As a Wattpad girl from middle school to late highschool, this whole situation is hilarious and horrifying. Watching someone who wasn’t part of this nightmare of a time is really eye opening to how insane we were

What is actually so funny is that even one of the characters got Tinffany's name wrong and called her Tiffany

Just want to provide some insight as a working actor who has done about three of these (only as small roles)…the actors doing these absolutely know how bad they are. Unfortunately, these are some of the only decent paying non-union work available since the actor’s strike last year. As a lead, you can make up to $4,000 in one week (yes these are all filmed in a week) and that’s really enticing for a lot of actors. They also pump out SO many of these, and like to cast the same people over and over again, so it’s consistent/good money. Hollywood is hell for working actors at the moment and these are the kind of projects people resort to doing. (Like I’ve said, I’ve done a few myself)

All of the scripts for these verticals are written by AI in Chinese and THEN translated to English. That’s why the language of the lines and the plot lines are so terrible. I suspect the “Tinfany” was and AI typo but they stuck with it because the Chinese companies are very particular about sticking to the exact wording of the lines.

They also encourage bad acting on set. They’re constantly asking their actors to “go bigger” and “be more dramatic” even when it looks ridiculous and doesn’t make sense to the situation.

They also mainly cast based on looks. Doesn’t matter how bad/good of an actor you are, if you have the look, you often get cast over people who are better actors but not be skinny/pretty enough. That being said, I think there are actually a lot of good actors out there doing these, because some of these lines are hard to do with a straight face.

Anyways, that’s my two cents and insider knowledge on all the verticals on apps like ReelShort.

the most concerning thing in the whole video is that kurtis thought the trojan horse had anything to do with medival times

This is literally like if a wattpad fic was turned into a movie made entirely of tiktoks that all had minute long ads in between

Kurtis not realizing that they are werewolves is so funny to me. The amount of fanfics I have read like this is ridiculous.
