The intricacies, precision in denotation of notes to the miniscule details and level of shophistication in the thousands of years old Indian classical music is out of this world.

I am a classical music practitioner.. for the first time i understood why sa-pa-sa is the reference for singing

People who are finding this overhwhelming...chill...bcoz it's actually overhwhelming. People spend multiple years at least 5 years program in Indian classicle to master various things. All it takes is time and lot of time with lot of patience.

Everything in India started with the logic of maths.

The music lessons  getting increasingly addictive...

The beatles weren't the first. Since you mentioned jazz, one of the most important jazz saxophonists John Coltrane was heavily influenced by Indian classical music and indian spiritual philosophy, and incorporated it into his own music much before the beatles. In fact he even gave his son an Indian name - Ravi Coltrane.

Indian classical is music of the musicians, for the musicians.

I am Indian but I am learning and appreciating Indian classical music with you.  For most of music listener  in India who enjoy indian music and take it for granted now I am understanding science and hardwork  behind them .  Now I am more humble and more  enjoying their performances.

All Glories to Sama Ved ❤❤❤

This is so fascinating. I am not even a musician, but i practice sound healing, so this is extremely interesting to me. Thank you for covering this.

One of the best videos of “Saturday Sadhanaa”! I enjoyed and learned from every moment of it. Thank you very much! There is a saying in Tamil: “கற்றது கை மண் அளவு; கல்லாதது உலகளவு,” which means “What we know is like a handful of sand; what we don’t know is as vast as the world.” It applies to all of us. Let’s keep learning.

2000 yrs back those  people must be beyond genius unbelievable ❤

I wish I was as perceptive to the intricacies of music, I am a monkey when compared to you two, but I still appreciate music from all over the world. And also I am proud of the music that my country has created.❤

Thank you both for curating this show . I have learnt Carnatic music but only now I am able to appreciate the precise mathematics which goes behind it.

I had a strange observation. 22 shrutis and 7 major notes.    22 / 7 = The value of pi (3.14)

I am a non- musical person... but have met Oak kaka (uncle) a few times ... as m friends with his son... after your indepth analysis... I realized how fortunate I am to have access to this legend personality

Thanks to this channel. We are relearning so much about our own music.

I have a suggestion: visit Chennai in December. There are thousands of concerts happening at many venues. You will not go back to USA I am sure.

After this my respect for the music masters who discovered and mastered this system has multiplied 100x and so also for the 2 of you for digging in so deep to take us all laymen to these depths.

Saturday Sadhana! What a super cool name ❤
