Mike Shinoda has said that this is his favorite song to perform

The catalogue of linkin park is absolutely god tier, from their beginnings all to way to the end of Chester, they had hit after hit, and their sound kept changing and it was never bad. Alot of their music artound this time was softer but it was absolutely beautiful and so complex. Linkin Park is the ONLY band i have ever seen pull off such great success for so long.

This and Castle of Glass are my 2 favorites... RIP Chester

RIP to your friend, hang in there, my condolences for you. love LP.

This is 100% my favorite Linkin park song! It wasn’t as popular as the first 2 albums but they changed up their sound a lot later on.

I remember when LP caught absolute HELL for this album, as well as Minutes to Midnight, and well as The Hunting Party and A Thousand Suns, because they basically evolved...or wanted to evolve. the hardcore fans wanted them to stay like Hybrid Theory and Meteora, and they realized if they DIDIN'T evolve, they would be pigeonholed for the rest of their careers. so, they took the chance, made the music, and knew the fans would follow them, no matter what they did...and they were right! from Waiting for the End, to What I've done, and everything else they realized in this time period, the fans, the TRUE fans, stuck with them, and bought the CD's when all the critics were saying LP was done. and here they sit, still on top of the mountain, showing everyone WHY they're the best band out there. Kudos to them for always taking chances, and for growing when it was demanded....🥰🥰🥰

The whole album "A Thousand Suns" is amazing. And to feel right it has to be listen from the begining to the end in ones .

This was the album that turned me from someone who liked Linkin Park, into a fan of Linkin Park. It is different from what came before it. To me, this was when they found their stride, Mike came out of the "background" and took lead parts, and Chester (RIP) wasn't just screaming. Chester had a great voice and it was great to hear him using different aspects of it.

My favorite song of all time

It’s a beautiful thing you’re teaching your children your love for music. 🙌🎶♥

Great reaction, thank you!  This is the song that got me started listening to Linkin Park...  I was going through a divorce.  It just resonated.  I loved the lyrics and his voice. Still gets me today that he's gone, RIP Chester...

BP  4:34 that moment when your face showed the change from "yeah this cooks" to bewilderment and realizing that you're experiencing something truly unexpected and beautiful.

Minutes to midnight and A thousands Suns are just incredibly complex musically advanced albums.  They are much less popular (I think this might be the first song off either you reacted to), but they are worth digging into:  The Catalyst, Little things give you away, Burning in the skies, hands held high, just incredible albums

One of my favorite favorite songs, this song always in my head in my darkest moments.

This is extraordinary. Their catalog of music is amazing. I love the slower stuff. I think This is my December is another beautiful song.

That entire album is FIRE. My favorite one from them.  So many bangers.

This is the song that always makes Emily tear up when Linkin Park performs

I am so sorry to hear about your friend.  Loss is so very hard.  Sending ((hugs)) and positive vibes.

I have been hoping you were going to do this song.  On one of your reaction videos I posted a list of Linkin Park songs to check out and this was one of them.  This song is so amazing.  I remember when I first heard it. You really can't go wrong with anything from this album.  What I love about Linkin Park is that they always kept moving musically, they never stayed static.  Some of their "fans" hated that and wanted them to stay stuck in the past and make everything sound like "insert their favorite album here" and they would get mad anytime Linkin Park evolved to the next level. This is exactly what I loved about them.  I mean you grow and change as you get older, shouldn't your music evolve with you?

I recently went down a Duran Duran rabbit hole thanks to one of your reactions.  I had stopped listening to them after Notorious - though I had heard "Ordinary World" on the radio.  I had no idea that they made some of their best music after that.  They experimented with their sound and kept evolving and they are still going strong right now.  I was shocked to find out that critics didn't like their album, "Thank You" when it came out.  It featured covers of songs they liked from bands they admired and that had influenced them.  They worked with the original artists on a lot of the songs.  Lou Reed thought their version of "Perfect Day" was better than his.  Robert Plant loved their cover of whatever Led Zeppelin song they did - I forgot which one.  Their cover of the Mele Mel/Grandmaster Flash song, "White Lines (Don't Do It)" absolutely blew me away and you should do a reaction to that one.  I watched that one over and over and just couldn't believe that was Duran Duran I was seeing.  It blew my mind.  I could see how they would have influenced Chester after rediscovering them (I remember either reading an article of seeing an interview where he mentioned them as one of his influences growing up along with Depeche Mode other than the harder stuff that influenced him.  I thought that was awesome because his musical taste sounded like mine.  He wasn't stuck in one genre).

I endorse all of the Linkin Park recommendations below and I want to add "The Light that never comes" with Steve Aoki (who also did a song with Duran Duran) who did a remix of one of the songs he did with Linkin Park as a tribute to Chester. Actually you should do all of their songs with him because they are all amazing.  I could spend all day listing songs by them for you to check out since everything is so good. You should just go through their entire catalog from beginning to end to see the way they evolved as they got older and read the stories behind the songs as you go.  Then you will get the full Linkin Park experience, just really compressed - kinda like binge watching a television show that aired on television before streaming and dvrs.

This song always brings tears to my eyes... 🥹

I am so sorry for all of the losses in your life. Chester died so young. His depression and substance abuse was stronger than he was. In the end he died of suicide by hanging. It really hit me hard because my daughter was born in 1976, as was he. To die at 41, is so tragic. RIP Chester.
Thank you BP. It was so great to hear Chester's voice, again. It has been awhile.
