Andy Weir, the author, also wrote Project Hail Mary - His dad worked for Jet Propulsion Laboratories, so he has been a NASA Nerd all his life. He did the best he could to make all the science in his books accurate. The ONE thing he had to do in "The Martian" is make up a reason for Watney to get stranded on Mars, which is THE STORM - The atmosphere on Mars is so thin, that a "Storm" would be like a breeze floating some dust around. That violent of a wind would NEVER happen on Mars.

the supply rocket bringing food to astronauts exploding actually happened once in real life. A famous British chef Heston Blumenthal was asked to prepare special meals for British astronauts aboard the ISS and when he finished preparing and packaging all the meals the rocket exploded at launch. He actually did it again and the second launch was successful.

You couldn't be more right: "Don't mess with chemists!"

Great reaction.  I have a feeling Rich Parnell doesn't have to worry about finding a job ever again.

Another good space movie is Apollo 13.  Based on the real mission.  It has been simplified, but for a Hollyweird movie, it does a decent job of capturing the spirit of how NASA dealt with the problems.

A Sol is basically a day on Earth. They call it something different because Sol’s are longer than Earth days. 39 minutes longer.

If you want another space movie, check out, Passengers, starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence

You can see how the directing style from this movie evolved into the same style as Project Hail Mary.  Great Reaction.

Lesson: When you watch a movie, you must get prepared

Hey guys, you should 100% check out the sci-fi film Sunshine by Danny Boyle. Such an underrated and forgotten about film with a great cast and amazing visuals. Deffo in my top 5 maybe even top 3 sci fi films.

This was such a good movie. Everytime ya think its gonna be alright...... Stuff hitscthe fan n keeps ya on the edge of your seat.  Mot sure if y'all are planning anything for Veterans Day this year but i would like to see what y'all think of Taking Chance staring Kevin Bacon. Dont wanna ruin it but its a true story of  LT. Col who escorts a fallen Marine home. It is a tear jerker fyi.

Vicodin is drug of choice for Gregory House, M.D. (Hugh Laurie, TV Show House)

potatoes are a high source of calories and dietary fiber and vegetable protein, so they are are really good source of nutrients as a supplement to your diet.

Seems like every movie is not what you expected🤣🤣🤣

I just noticed that the reporter who was doing a stand up in front of Johnson Space Center - you could see his breath.  It rarely gets cold enough for that in Houston.  If there is anyone in south east Texas who can confirm this let me know.

Poo is for fertilizer

Although this movie is very factual, human waste can only be safely used as fertilizer after proper composting and pathogen elimination, and should not be applied directly to food crops. To be fair, there was no mention about human waste process in the movie.
