We visited “Naraben,” a handmade bento shop in Kagawa, Japan.
The owner is the same host from Takadaya we featured earlier, but her main focus is making these bento boxes.

She is actually a huge fan of Kawano Bento, known as one of the most popular bento shops in Japan, and even asked to become their apprentice.

Starting late at night, she carefully prepares each bento by hand.
They are known for their generous portions and comforting homemade quality, and often sell out quickly at local markets.

Her bento is usually sold at farmers’ markets and hospitals, so if you’re ever nearby, definitely give it a try.
