I ❤ed Garvins opened handed chest slaps 😊

I'm perceptive but I also know that Dusty was the booker for years and he knew that he was more of a cash cow than Garvin so he would put the belt on himself instead of giving Garvin more of the belt Garvin was a better technician than Dusty

This match made me and my brothers jump up and down screaming for joy! We HATED Flair! 😅 Great memories and good times.

Title changes were a BIG thing back then. Because the champion would usually have the belt for years. So when they lost it was a shock.

It amazes me when people criticize Garvin for actually wanting to be NWA World Champion at a time when they didn't just hand the belt to anybody.

My brother and I watched this, original broadcast. I would have LOVED to watch this in person. To see Flair be pinned and defeated. It sucks Garvin wasnt allowed to defend it longer.
