I show how to solve just about every type of problem you will ever see in both Algebra 1 and 2 in this video. There are numerous problems that I work out live on screen, while explaining all of the rules required to solve each problem.

This video was originally a Livestream so many people ask questions during its filming. I live code every Wednesday at 5PM UTC / Noon EST here Twitch: derekbanas

Next Wednesday I'll teach all the Trigonometry you need for Calculus on Twitch!

I understood this so fast I need a moment to process my new identity.

if anyone was confused like me at 23:36 when he mentioned to make x = 0, what he actually did was substitute the values of (-3, 1) and the slope into y = mx + b
1 = 1/4 * (-3) + b
1 = -3/4 + b
1 + 3/4 = b NOTE: 1 is basically like saying 4/4
4/4 +3/4 = b
7/4

which is why he immediately goes b = 4/4 + 3/4 as the solution

y = mx + b or in other words "your mother's ex boyfriend"

As a self-taught Software Engineer - been at it for 10 years professionally now, and I am admittingly lacking in the Math Department. My journey began at learning Calculus, which quickly led me to realizing that I am not strong in Algebra. Long story short - I was looking for some no-nonsense, but very thorough, learning resources, and I can say that this series was all I needed other than just pure practice.

Btw I am working my way towards Machine Learning, and I can also attest to the fact that ML is ALL math. If you don't know Algebra... you're not going to be learning ML :)

Cheers!

I'm 11 and feel that my classes in school are moving two slow even though i'm in all advanced classes. I've wanted to learn harder things but it takes forever to find a decent video that covers what I want to learn. This video taught me things I didn't know I wanted to learn. Ty for spending your time on making this video.
