What I love and admire about trials in the UK is that all proceedings are conducted in low key, completely rational and in such calm manner. The proceedings are so unlike those in the USA, filled with highly emotional theatrics and drama and ridiculously made-up wild theories by defense lawyers. They are a circus in comparison.

The jury made the right call. A killer should not go free because they did an effective job of disposing of their victim.

I really like this prosecutor. No theatrics, unassuming, laser focused on the facts. Would that all lawyers were this quietly competent and effective.

This got me on my toes waiting on the verdict

Excellent job this prosecutor did. 👏👏👏

Surprised it was by majority, not unanimous. I don’t see any place whatsoever for reasonable doubt here.

He was feeling all smug! Thinking he was going to get away with it until the guilty verdict.

This story was well done. Why no second autopsy to reconfirm the findings of the initial autopsy? At the very least he was guilty of disposing the victim's body unlawfully and financial fraud. I bet the defendant's wife and fam breathed a huge collective sigh of relief when the verdict was read.

The defense was clearly clutching at straws here! He also clearly underestimated the jury’s ability to see through it all. This just shows that with enough circumstantial evidence, a case can be proven!

No messing with that judge.

Scottish Law this, different to English law etc. I'm also impressed with the calm in this trial. I'm not sure what the English equivalent would look like.
