Such a heartbreaking shame for her sister, who missed out on so many sisterly times.

If Bill MacDowell had a motive by FEAR OF LOOSING his marriage, job, lifestyle and reputation then Mrs. MacDowell had ALL THAT PLUS THE RAGE!! I think SHE had a 'Freudian Slip' by blurting out "I didn't STAB her..." EVEN AFTER 40 YEARS Mrs. MacDowell has got lot of HOSTILITY that STILL remains to this day!!

Could you imagine this man and his wife lived with this for 45 years? 3-year-old boy gone and they could care less about him or his mother!!!

If the husband wanted revenge [and theres no evidence that he knew about this relationship] all he had to do was to sack his wife's lover. The defendant's wife came across as an agitated woman who wasn't trying her best to answer the questions being asked of her. She appeared very defensive, bordering on the hostile. Her comment about 'being stabbed' was a bizzare comment. Apparently she didn't know about her husband's long standing affair, this in itself suggests that she had great faith in her husband. Alternatively did she know, but chose to maintain the pretence of a normal marriage? We didn't see her being asked any questions about the nature of their marriage and/or what did the husband say when he confessed to her about the affair? That must have been some confrontation.

Defence barristers like this guy then suggesting the father could have had any involvement in the killing of his wife and son is absolutely disgusting. They really will be lowest of the low by standing up for they're client.

May I point out the man's name is MacDowell, not McDow.

Interesting that they allow statements to be read on behalf of deceased persons. Also testifying regarding hearsay, i.e. he mother reported hearing the scream. Those things aren't allowed in US courts.

Why was Mr macdowell down at the police station at Perth road inverness looking and feeling anxious and apparently being sick in the toilets??
If his actions didn't look guilty then why was he down at the police station own will and then his wife pulled him out? I would like to know more about this.
