This might be the greatest tiara I have ever made! Which I was really not expecting because the pearl sizes had me doubtful for a second there 😅

Empress Eugenie's Pearl tiara is not only stunning, it also has a really interesting history of use, including being worn to a royal fancy dress bash which can only be described as something from the hunger games (seriously, go look at the pictures). What a gorgeous crown. The original was definitely a stunner and is sorely missed. I hope someday you‘d try making one of those tiaras that transform into a necklace, like the Poltimore tiara. That would be fun to figure out.

Though this tiara doesn’t seem to have one, lots of them actually have a plain rim of metal at the bottom. It would be hidden in the hairstyle, but would basically provide an extra stable base that could be bobby-pinned down, and some can be seen still wrapped in velvet ribbons which must have been a lot more soft on the scalp.
Maybe it could help alleviate the grabbiness of the pearls and rhinestones :)

It's so pretty 😍 I never would have guessed that many pearls or diamonds in the original 🤯 Honestly, with my dyscalculia, you could say pretty much any number and I'd believe you 😂

(This is actually the first of your crown videos I've watched! I haven't been avoiding them per se, but sewing videos are more immediately interesting to me and I've only recently found your channel. I know I'll get around to watching them eventually!)
