The u2 x is just a little out of my price point but recently picked up the U2 and I’m definitely not disappointed in the least!

Great review! I need to come at the very least listen to the U2x

Excellent review. I really liked the fact you unscrewed the lids and showed the internals.

I’ve been eyeing this thing for a while, but I’m not there yet.

Nice review. Time to check Grimm Audio MU1 and MU2. Also from The Netherlands: Dutch & Dutch active speakers. The 8c is bigger than the 6c. Both very interesting.

At one of the Toronto shows awhile back I saw a demonstration of a lumin 50 watt class d amp with built in dac and a pair of pmc bookshelf speakers on stands. it sounded very nice. They did another demo where a live violinist played along with the music. Very nice again. Looking forward to seeing this video a little later.

Old USA folkie here (60s onward). One of my favorites has always been Ian & Sylvia - Awake Ye Drowsy Sleepers, Brave Wolfe and many more. Vanguard had a really extreme left / right isolation. Sylvia gives me the chills. Thanks, always fun and informative. Keep up the unboxing

I've been very happy with my Lumin U2 - I can confirm that Lumin, in particular Peter Lie is very responsive to problems/suggestions and active on the online forums. I've been actively contemplating this upgrade for some time; in part I was waiting for your review and also curious of the pending comparison to the X2 w/Dac... decisions!!!

Still loving life with my lumin X1. Would love to see what you think of their newly released X2 when you get round to it

Had the Holo Red streamer then Rivo+ with Lineo linear PSU and thought that must be good. Then I got the HiFi Rose RS130 and it was far better (AES/EBU sounds best into the Tambaqui). Even better with the LHY Platinim 10MHz masterclock. Also, using optical SPF throughough made a large difference (cleaner and more natural).

Hi Adrian, i am the happy owner of a Lumin X1, and totally agrre with the overhang being an issue even for me that has "small" fingers. I would love if you do an comparison to the Lumin X2, and what if you use an MSB DAC with it what difference would that do. I use an Michi S5 power amp and Focus Audio FS788 speakers that need to updated in the future. All cabling are Nordost as well as the Qnet.

Can the U2X be connected to the Bartok only through the network switch ?

How does this compare to the innuos NexGen?

Lumin really needs to setup their game. The company needs an internal reset to what people require in today’s market. Lumin is not APPLE as APPLE tells people what you’re going to have.

I have a Lumin U2X, Fiber Connections to Ethernet /Dejitterit Stack Switch, USB to DAC - Superb, better than my MU1.

Thank you for the Review. I had a Lumin Streamer, but it had to leave because the App is total crap for my Taste. A good app is essential for operating a Streamer.
