Y'all warned us and we still crumbled by this whole episode!! Gosh that ending felt so so good! Hoping you all stay for our discussions at the end. Also random but should we check out Heartstopper? We tried the first season when it dropped but we never finished it and barely remember what happens in that first season. Let us know! Of course, as always, You can check out our full length reactions over on patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/thehorrorbandwagon

”I’m coming to the cottage” is probably one of the most epic lines of TV ever. The way we all scream when he says that, amazing!!

They fit a ridiculous amount of content in this episode without it feeling rushed, I have no idea how they did it.

Francois Arnaud, the actor for Scott Hunter, stated that this episode resulted in a some closeted NHL players reaching out to him to tell him how impactful the scene had been for them. He also has publicly called out the NHL for supporting Heated Rivalry while not creating a safe environment for queer players. AND a hockey player named Jesse Korteum publicly came out after this episode and stated it was the show that gave him the courage to do so!

Elena in episode 3: "He deserves sunshine... and so do you."
The song in episode 5: 🎶Give me your eyes, I need sunshine🎶

I LOVE seeing people see this for the first time!

When Shane asks Ilya if he can tell him something at the bar in Tampa, Ilya is fearing that Shane is about to announce he's engaged to Rose or something, so that huge smile that blooms on his face is also relief. 💙

It’s insane how much happens this episode lmao emotional whiplash forsure

I been waiting for you two to get to this point since episode 1. Y'all are some of the most heartfelt & tuned-in reactors to this show.

"you'e licking each other with your eyes" is the most accurate description of what is going on in that Tampa Bay bar! 😂

@DariaBilowus 2 months ago

In the book Ilya thought that Shane was going to tell him that he & Rose were engaged. Hence that gorgeous smile on Ilya's face.

they aren’t eligible for the Emmy’s since it’s a Canadian production company that made the show. BUT Connor Storrie who plays Ilya was nominated for one for his SNL hosting gig

This episode shattered me, broke me, and built me back up. It was number two on IMDB’s highest rated TV episodes of all time, right after breaking bad’s ozymandias, for a while and it’s still one of the highest right now, genuinely insane

I have lost count of the number of reactions I have watched to this episode, and it never stops being amazing. Just ... so good.

I love how Rose reassured Shane and even grabbed his hand when she saw him getting visibly uncomfortable with the discussion of his sexuality. She didn’t judge or coerce anything out of him. She listened and was very understanding.

There are so many hidden treasures in this episode.. like when Ilya visits Shane in the hospital his heart rate goes through the roof when he enters the room and when it goes back down it is on number 81 which is Ilya’s jersey number. 💙😭

Or the song that plays during Scott and Kips kiss on the ice has the lyrics “give me sunshine” which is a call back to the previous episode.
Just such a brilliant show!

I'm 34 years old and still haven't come out. Watching you guys watching shows like this makes me feel braver about finally telling people.

Ilya confessing his feelings in Russian is probably my favorite scene. It’s so amazing. Huge kudos to Connor for the delivery. ❤

Of all the reactions from various bloggers that I’ve seen, yours is the most sensible and interesting. You always accurately grasp the nuances of what the director intended to convey and show.👍
Don't put off watching Episode 6.😉
