Uhhhh, so Bob got r*ped, didn't he?

the police just forgetting bob's air tight alibi and sarah's lack of alibi is pissing me off

As good as Gone Girl originally was, I hate hate hate that for most thrillers now the 'twist' is just women lying about their abuse and sleeping with a 1000 men.

why is the cover for the perfect divorce giving saddam hussein hiding spot

a woman abusing and killing other women to get back at a man is NOT the empowering story that the author thought it was

Naming your child after your murder victim is crazy, especially when you try to convince world that you don't believe that your husband murdered that person. And her being proved to be his mistress on top of all that. You would think most people would be weirded out.

Edit: there was "didn't" in wrong place

Funny how Sarah's "oh so smart plan" is exactly the type of shit IRL wannabe criminals do all the goddamn time only for the cops see through all of it within a week of investigation.😂

Minor nitpick but all these characters names feel like placeholders. It's not like "bob" is such a bad name or "sarah" is too basic, but it's that all the characters' names feel like they're pulled straight from 100 most common names, except for Carissa

"She couldn't even get her husband off!" Happens to the best of us ✊🏼😔

what if there’s a third book called “the perfect estrangement” and it’s about how summer becomes a prosecutor and gets her mom put in jail forever

Also, blood isn’t water, you can’t just store it in a jar to be used later, writers who make this very simple mistake without even doing a Google search need to find a better editor.

So Sarah set up Bob to take the fall for what she did to Stacy because Stacy r*ped him? She set up a r*pe victim to punish him for being r*ped?
How can she be even worse than she was in book 1? It would be different if the book was framing her as a horrible, evil person who just kept winning, but that doesn't appear to be the case. At this point, there could be a third book where she actually ended up in an abusive relationship and i would be like "you deserve it".

Seeing "60 slide powerpoint" in the title is what made me click immediately

A woman repeated raping drunk men to blackmail them is certainly possible, but it’s just so absolutely bizarre and I can’t think of a plausible reason for that to be background. Why not have it so that she and Bob had a one night stand and she actually liked him, and she threatened to tell his wife if he didn’t divorce her to be with her or something along those lines. Or anything else.
But to just drop in that he was raped so casually and to write it off like it was an affair makes me sick.

So wait is the plot that Bob was SA'd while drunk at a party, his wife assumes he was cheating and so frames him for murder? That's... ick. But it's so convoluted it's basically taken over by all the other "twists" and confusing connections and POVs we end up getting that it feels like its impossible to follow or to tell what's intentional because I feel like she doesn't know

Why, of all the names in the fcking world, would you choose SUMMER if you got close to your husband after killing a woman named SUMMERS???? Please someone explain me why

I hope this ends with Sarah getting sent to death row after being framed for murdering her affair partner. Or that she gets murdered for sleeping with a married man. She came across as way, way worse than Adam in book 1 and i hate this trend in thriller books where cheating warrants death and we're supposed to see this insane overreaction as something to root for.
Edit: i also need this to end with Sarah's daughter preferring the affair partner over her mom

We are ignoring the fact that the plot of A Perfect Marriage is nearly identical to the movie In Defense of a Married Man from 1990. My one and only, Judith Light, cannot be done dirty like this.

At 50:28, “This could mean everything or it could mean nothing” made me want to throw the book across the room and I’m not even reading it.

Ma'am, I am always down for an elaborate PowerPoint.
