Women lay their lives on the line to create the family. They could literally die from pregnancy and child birth. And what mother wouldn't sacrifice themselves to save their children from danger. Men being called to "sacrifice themselves" for their family is the equivalent of a participation trophy.

Not only he doesn't list a single example of a way in which he serves his wife, he also says "She serves me by doing XYZ and I TRY to serve her".

The "you should only submit to a man if he follows Jesus" thing feels like it's setting the woman up for victim blaming. Like, if she gets abused, it becomes "why did you submit to him in the first place?" which ignores that abusers typically aren't openly abusive early in the relationship.

I can't stand the weird, culty language these people use. If my partner said "I'm called to love him," it sounds like they're obligated to love me, instead of just being in love with me. It's so weird.

The whole “I don’t feel the need to have friends of another gender” thing always bugs me because (beyond the obvious things) it completely misunderstands what friendship even is. I certainly don’t feel a need to have male friends, but I do feel a need to be friends with … my friends, some of whom may be male. I’m not choosing my friends based on demographic information, so why would I choose who not to be friends with on that basis?

You should not "just want" to have sex. You can say no. You are not wrong for saying no. You do not owe your body to anyone. You have a right to your own body.
