The reason we (not just in the UK but Australia as well) call it maths is because it is short for mathematics. The full word is plural and so is the short version 🙂

The clip with the people pretending to be asleep was there because the conductor wanted to check tickets. If they’re asleep, she can’t check

1:45 northern England not Scotland or Ireland 😂 we find that offensive 😂

If you’re twatted you’re drunk, we have dozens of words for it lol

Most people in the UK only get paid once a month, normally the last day. So if you have all your bills coming out on the 1st and you have no money left, next pay day is a looooooooooong time away 😂

The first one off the bat was on point! We have so many accents in the U.K that we Brits find it hard to understand ourselves, and most of them are only a couple of hours drive away 😂

The guy dancing had obviously put in a different request and was expecting ‘his’ music.  Then they put on ‘Dancing Queen’. I think it funny!

7:20 You often buy your train ticket on the train; feigning sleep is a blag to get out of paying (or you just didn't buy one before getting on)

Add ‘ed’ to the end of any noun and say it with absolute conviction, this is how most of us British people find ways to say they’re drunk without using the word itself

That guy is an extream fisher.  He travels to far away places to catch fish or even locally reported as river monsters.  Seems he could not find the legion he was looking for.

I’d pick the lamp up, put it over my shoulder and loudly say “C’mon Grandma, let’s get you home” and calmly walk away. But that’s just my warped British sense of humour for you.

The US has 9 major accent differences and 11 minor accent differences. The UK has 40 major accent differences and about the same minor. This is because accents are a product of time, not area or size, and the US is a young country. I come from an English town of 100,000 population, and I can tell by accent if someone comes from the west side or east side of my town.

4:25 They started "Turn Down for What" and instantly changed to Dancing Queen instead.

3:26 rivers monsters should be mandatory viewing 😂😂

David Cameron, the man sat on the stairs going through the post (mail), was Prime Minister of the UK from 2010 to 2016.

Dying at the harry potter one, this is exactly what me and my cousins did when we were kids

Oh bless your pure heart, watching you repeat twatted was so wholesome and funny. 😊

6:37 makes you proud to be British!🇬🇧🫡😂

fun story with the showing your work in math thing: when I first started doing long multiplication in school I caught on how to follow a pattern to solve the equations without writing the process. Since we were just starting with those more complex equations the teacher had not mentioned yet the whole 'you must show your work, always' thing. So any time we got homework I would write all the equations with only the space I needed to write the answer, no reason to waste paper leaving a large gap to fit the process. My teacher suspected I must be cheating and using a calculator, so she sent a note to my parents (which I obviously read as well). So there I go, itty bitty me, to give my parents the note and slam my math homework down on the table in front of them (I might have been a little peeved at having my skills questioned); they are reading the short note as they see me steadily filling out the answer for each equation.... they sent a note back to the teacher 'We can assure you she does not use a calculator. She did her homework in front of us, filling it out correctly without writing down the process. We have informed her you want the process even if she does not need it. In the future you can simply tell her that those details are part of the assignment.'. My engineer dad still likes to brag about that little skill.

My name is Mairéad, microsoft word regularly autocorrected my name to mermaid, misread, or myraid back when I was in school. But having an Irish name meant i was used to double checking. My school never checked and they'd print my timetable and even once a certificate calling me Mermaid 😂
