The grain and the filters are a work of art.

Is Nosferatu all you've seen of Eggers' work? Because his other films are all great and vary in degrees of horror, even The Northman. On top of his films all having the same epic levels of attention-to-detail, he has said he'll only make period piece films

The werewolf comes from the Nordic “warp spasm” of battradz, Eggers movie’s are incredibly well researched so I won’t be surprised if Aaron Taylor Johnson is a descendent of Nordic people who lived in Britannia during the early Middle Ages. The descendants of the conflict between the Vikings and British.

It's kicking off! 👀

Wow wow, I didn't even spot that the man in the beginning is holding a bird in his right hand! I don't know what the symbolism of that is, but you can bet that Eggers will have chosen it based on it's meaning in the context of the period, he loves that type of thing - rather than what it symbolizes to a modern audience.
The right hand is definitely religiously meaningful, the bird it might depend on what type, but I think small birds like sparrows or finches sometimes represent the soul in artwork. I'm sure there's probably some medieval contrast with the wolf that I don't know.

Correction on a previous deleted comment. The film takes place after the Norman conquest in 13th centruy England but still features a mix of Germanic paganism and Christian blends.

i can't wait 😩

The twice Nosferatu name mention is for Ads, the 1st 5 seconds have a Preview of Trailer so people don't skip the ad. Its a silly new marketing trend

Agree with you on the Goya thing.

Nosferatu, Northman, Vvitch are great movies. I havnt seen Eggers' Lighthouse yet. Werwulf is like Vvitch Meets Northman

I loved it.  I think it depends on the movie, how and what kind of style the trailer comes off as.  IMO.   I can't wait to see this.  VVitch was great too, and there there was something 'off' about the woods too, and we know for the colonial settlers the wild forest was frightening or disturbing to them.  Your video was fine, no worries!

1:43 "What an interesting set"-You mean like an artificial or constructed set? It just looks like an actual forest to me.

This shot of Willem Dafoe in the pre trailer thing looks like an old painting

4:39 haha. Tbf to Eggers, seizures have been a thing in religions or mystic craft for millennia or so

Its going to be a Masterpiece 🙂‍↔️👌

if nosferatu is all you've seen... idk if you're quite ready for this aye

You are awsome. ❤

you have to watch the witch

The beginning part of that trailer is supposed to be a preview of it lmao. It’s supposed to catch people‘s attention when it plays as an ad, that’s why the ‘from Robert Eggers’ is repeated
