Who else is watching vocal coach reacts to Tool videos just to watch the facial expressions and scroll through the comments...

"The lyrics are super intense. The musicians are killing it."

That's Tool in a nutshell.

How many voice coaches are going to react to this song?

It’s a funny thing...people have eluded to the fact that Maynard has perfect pitch. You would get the impression watching his live shows that he could care less...but he really does. He has incredible precision in his vocals. My son (who has autism) also has perfect pitch. We both listen to Fear Inoculum together, and he keeps telling me that it sounds “too perfect”. I said to him, “Welcome to the world of Tool, my son”.

Finally a vocal coach reaction to Maynard that gets him...all others “bad posture!!”

Focus. One of the few bands that can release albums whenever they are ready, and have a fan base ready to consume.

I'm glad you realized that his posture and mannerisms are meant to be performative and reflective of the songs themes. I see a lot of vocal coaches talk about the bad posture. Also I see a lot of people who think he's actually high on drugs and he's not. In fact the song is meant to be a negative depiction of junkies and druggies.

He suffered from severe stage fright for a very long time so he learnt how to zone himself into the music to get past it

I've seen a bunch of reactions to his and you're the first to immediately pick up on the fact that Maynard is playing a character through this performance.

"Poised for battle " I love that summation of Maynard.

If you ever have an opportunity to see TOOL live, take it! So, so phenomenal.

Maynard literally poured his entire soul out here.

Something a vocal coach will never understand, you can't quantify that. Completely immeasurable.

So many people reacting to Tool.  They've been around almost 30 years and finally people are appreciating the greatest band ever

I've watched about a dozen vocal coaches react to this (It's how I found this video tbh), and you do a few things differently that I love! 1) You don't criticize his posture, rather you understand exactly what and why he is doing it. 2) You don't pause the song at ALL from beginning to end!

We need a vocal coach reaction to another vocal coach reacting to this video.

This is Maynard in pretty much every tool and APC songs. I.e. dripping emotions

It doesn't get better than Tool. When you see them live in concert it blows your mind.

When I can appreciate a well written, emotional song in a genre I’m not in to, shows the magic of the artistry.

I clicked so fast that a black hole started forming under my mouse button...
