bro really got caught up in his own bloody true crime case and was just like "oh yeah guys i walked past this house that had a bissected body inside, saw it on the news and thought i should share"

The duality of Japan: being one of the safest countries in the world and also having the most unhinged, batshit crazy crimes I have ever heard of

I can't even imagine the horror of the parents returning home, expecting your children to be oversleeping, only to find them all butchered in your bathroom... :( Especially knowing the oldest tried to protect his siblings. Heartbreaking.

"if you grew up in finland in the early 2000s"
me: visible panic

Sang being shot in the HEAD, staying upright and returning 5 shots center-mass before passing away is the absolute definition of BEING A BAD ASS HUMAN BEING!!!

RIP Kok Beng. The best eldest sibling anyone could ask for.

0:36 I thought this was a raycon ad for a second

Bro doxxed himself just to make a story more personal 😮 madlad

the tan family incident makes me so sad each time i hear of it… those poor children had no fault of whatever that crazed person wanted… it’s heartbreaking 😢

Ohhh man you really NEVER KNOW who may be walking in the same area as you.

the tan family incident is just unbelievably horrible, brutal and unfathomable. what kind of soulless monsters could do that to anyone nevermind children😢

I’m so used to hearing about cold cases from the 1970’s and 80’s in the USA being solved decades later because DNA and other evidence is collected and stored, so to hear that the eldest Tan child fought back and had strands of the killer’s hair plus likely the killers blood in the kitchen was left behind… it must be so frustrating for everyone involved in investigating the case back then to later realize they might have had a chance to solve this case (assuming they didn’t know to save the evidence?).

At this stage whoever was responsible for the Tan murders may no longer still be alive so much time has passed and i think this is one perpetrator that will never be brought to justice when there's no leads to go on

The Tan family letter broke me. What an evil POS.

The unsolved case of all the children being killed and then the killer taunting the parents at a later date. That story was heartbreaking!! I cannot even imagine losing all of your kids at one time! That murderer is beyond cruel!!😢

As a finn, I've always had difficult feelings over our justice system. On one hand, I do believe in rehabilitation and bettering oneself - while some crimes aren't exactly "atonable" and it's easy to speak about rehabilitation when it isn't your close one who has been killed, there is nuance there where some people can pull themselves out of those bad places. On the other hand though, the "punishments" and lengths for crimes are laughable at best. Life in prison? Out in about ten to fifteen years. Commited a rape? You'll be out in few years *at worst case*. And that is if you get prosecuted at all - 41% of all rape cases get dismissed, which is QUITE a high number considering over all crimes the same number is less than 7%. And that is even if the victim is a teen, still a child and under legal age. For some reason sexual crimes just don't get taken as seriously here and it's always a horror to read how "easy" prepators "get off" from doing horrible things. A big problem that has been rising as a result of this is how some people (especially among youth) don't care even if they get caught for commiting a terrible crime like murder or rape, since they'll get off with slap on the wrist anyways.

Thank you for covering a finnish case, I do want to give you props for your pronounciation! Finnish names and locations aren't easy for foreigners to pronounce! It's honestly quite an achievement, even my husband who has lived in Finland for over two years now still struggles with pronounciation. You always manage to do such a good job I don't generally even have to double check what you said unlike with lot of other youtubers (and my husband)! 😂

I remember Lauri talking in our class years ago. About his faith and his past. Weird memory unlock here, lol.

I lived in Kobe for about 5 years just after the earthquakes. The town is a such a mixture of uber-rich, poor, criminal, international - every type of person squeezed into a relatively small area (even by Japan's standards), carrying influences from all the surrounding towns too. I think it's a place you can never know "everything" about - but that's a good thing too.

(Like those guys working 24/7 at Harborland, I've never seen them get down off those ladders in the last 30 years).

Those poor kids. May they rest in peace 😢

Tsang took a fatal shot to the head but still managed to return fire, he is a fucking hero and most likely saved a lot of lives. RIP Tsang.
