liking that his rambling is coming out

Hoping for more tangents each week.

He was a political activist. He was a feminist. He received many death threats in the course of his work as an investigative journalist. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo may be fictional, but the dark underbelly is about as funny as the Epstein Files. A side note: Because he was not married to his partner, all of his estate fell to his brother, who spun the brand and series to an inch of its life for money, resulting in tacky Hollywood like action flicks cashing in on the brand.

Simon is getting his authors mixed up. And they're both English legends!  Pratchett and Adams.

I like the new chair look

I love how Simon has already made a video about what happened with Sweden’s PM, and has zero memory of it. My fave part was when he said he could use a pronunciation guide for his name, yet in the video about him, he said refused to say his name properly because it was too annoying to say! 😂 I love watching Simon’s various channels because of their topics, but my fave thing is just watching Simon be himself, it’s so relatable! 😅

My grandfather died of a massive heart attack in bed at 51. He had a very similar diet, smoking habit, etc.

Last time I was this early my wife and her boyfriend were pretty upset 😂

Never heard Simon curse before "where the F is Eritrea??" 😂 caught me off guard

George Burns supposedly smoked many cigars a day and drank a few martinis daily into his 90s.  He lived to 100.

Coffee drinking causing 40-60% higher chance of heart disease sounds scary until you learn that 5% of people have heart disease, so instead of having a 5% chance you now have a 7.5% chance...

Fact Boy is hilarious cause he made a whole 1 plus casual criminalist on Olof Palme and forgot all about it. 😂

26:29 that is Douglas Adams' book. It was his last book but I can't confirm if it was left incomplete because he died. I do know that the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy ends abruptly because the editor got tired of waiting for Adams to finish the book (and kept missing the deadlines) that he simply told him to handover whatever he had done so far and that's the published book to this day.

52 seconds insane pull for the drive home

That’s how Tom Baker’s character in “Miss Marple’s Toward Zero” died. He knew too much & the murderer put an Out of Order sign on the elevator so he had to take the stairs with a bad heart.

Theres an Agatha Christie story where the lift is shown as out of order and the man with a bad heart dies after walking up the stairs, exit a possible witness. Using a fictional means to kill an author might be someones idea of appropriate. 🤔😉

The format is like Simon's sat in my living room telling me stories

I had to spit my drink out when Simon almost said "He was an assassin"
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

45:54 Stig probably had, based off his lifestyle, ADHD and OCD. There’s no almost no way a person with that combination can be hounded into a breakdown. That would be like putting out a fire by increasing the oxygen in the room.
