Go into settings & turn auto play disc off & that will stop the disk from trying to install each time you put a new game in & should make the process slightly faster.

A real perk to this is that now when I claim a digital license for a racing game, it frees the disc drive for me to play music CD’s while driving.

I'm in the insider program and bought 5 games for $21 and 4 qualified for disc to digital

The 5 games are Cyberpunk 2077 which i paid $10.74 shipped for, and Watchdogs 2, Battlefield 2042, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Wolfenstein the new order which was the one game that didn't work with disc to digital. Those last 4 games were bought at gamestop during a 4 for $10 sale. Had I bought those 5 games from the Xbox store, they'd have cost $239.95 so I did pretty good getting them all for under $22.

It's a shame we can't do Xbox 360 or og xbox

I have 2 discs that would not install due to discs scratched cod WW2 and GTA v, claimed and now installing 🎉

I got TMNT mutants in Manhattan, Ghostbusters and transformers Devastation delisted games to work

I don't know why some don't opt in. You're basically giving people what they want. Their games and the ability to preserve them.

I think the best part is that you get a PC version for some of the games as well. With all the benefits that can offer as well.

From what I understand games discs released within the first year of the XB1's release lack the unique authentication feature that makes disc to digital possible.

Your reaction in 5:23 reminds me of Lester in GTA 5 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I literally went through the exact same process as you did in this video it was like watching myself not all the same video games though.

Complete The Longest Journey if you ever get a chance. Amazing game. If you like Syberia, you'll love The Longest Journey. I finished it a few times 25 years ago or so.

As soon as I put college football 26 in the digital version did it automatically but when I did NBA 2K 24 I have to go to the game card that's a little weird but I did it though I'm happy I finally got this update 💯

I done that with storm 4 and storm 4 did not work  When it was in Beta steel  For this digital license I'm pretty happy it's out for everyone

I picked up three call of duty games for $5 each at GameStop so I can play offline competitive at the house with my friends well worth the $5 each and all of them were disc to digital

FIFA 17/18/19/16/15 .... Working?

I forgot about when this went live and played Madden 2026 and BOOM  digital license claimed. No more digging for the disc. I ❤ this feature.... When it works. Found out some game companies are choosing not to participate with some games🤔🎮

It's awesome. Unfortunately not all publishers are onboard and chances are they never will.

if you try a game like that and it wont install cuz its scratched and you cant claim it if you go on xbox app on your phone you can install games on your console and just put the disc in and it will work it worked with games like forza horizon 4
