This video is actually my 3rd video on speculating the next Smash game!

Don't worry I'll figure this out

Super Smash Bros. Century. The gimmick would be 100 characters

Part of me thinks this problem was secretly planned all along by none other than Sakurai himself. In a masterful gambit, Sakurai was willing to push himself to the limit and bring the biggest Smash Bros experience so that making any other Smash game would be risky as hell to make without removing content, therefore making it a much less incentivizing idea to spend on, or one that just wouldn't be viable economically. We've known that ever since Brawl Sakurai has been struggling to make this series, not just mentally, but physically too. It's not out of the question Sakurai would use of all his means to put a limit to the amount of work handed to him, without directly losing ties to the company

The Refresh roster to me is insane just for the idea they would listen to fan memes and add Waluigi, but also drop Ridley, one of the most notoriously and vocally begged for characters in the series' history after he was in a single game.

I do think the Refreshed option is the most likely outcome too. Yes, people will be disappointed that a good chunk of the roster would be getting cut from the game. However, they could easily make up for that by having a proper story mode, giving more attention to current characters and side modes, and having New/DLC Characters be heavily requested characters (Waluigi, Shadow, Master Chief, etc)

cuts Yoshi > Puts him on the cover. Evil, brother.

There is no world where they’re cutting Daisy, Bowser Jr AND Rosalina but adding Waluigi.

Since Ultimate's appeal was that everyone is here, the next Smash Bros should be
"Super Mario Bros.: Everyone is Mario"

i can’t take any roster seriously that has the sand bag as a character….

We got absolutely nothing

Ngl I kinda hope the next smash bros has a Kingdom hearts ass title, gives me Super Smash Bros: Chains of the Infinite Battles

Putting Yoshi on the box art for the reboot after your whole monologue about him not being in the roster is insane 😂

I initially read the thumbnail as “The ‘06 Problem” and thought this would be about Sonic The Hedgehog.

Counting to 6 is quite difficult. Elder Scrolls, Grand Theft Auto, and Persona have all been stuck at 5 for 10+ years with 6 "coming soon."

Literally everything you said to detract from an Ultimate Switch 2 port is directly countered by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the booster course pass.

"A game where bros smash" is kinda wild.

Slight Correction for you: They have not been using the same announcer since Brawl. It's only been the same announcer since the Smash 4 duology, Xander Mobus. Brawl's announcer was none other than Pat Cashman, who millennials will fondly remember as the Announcer from Bill Nye the Science Guy (He also played Therm of Therm's Sphere of Atmospheres among many many other parts). I do agree, however, that it's time for an update. Xander Mobus was very much doing a Pat Cashman impression in his role in Smash 4 and Ultimate and I'd love to see a new style spun for the announcer.

I'm so with you with that reusing brawl assets bit. The next Smash game NEEDS an aesthetic and sound overhaul, it would elevate the feel and presentation of the game so much even if it otherwise is a pretty standard sequel with a handful of reworks, cuts, and new content.

You know how Smash is more or less about a kid growing up and his toys grow up with him? What if a reboot could be him passing on those toys to another kid?
