This Was a Bad Idea… | Motorhome Adventures in Spain 🇪🇸

We thought we were heading for a relaxing couple of days in the Spanish sunshine… but getting there didn’t quite go to plan! 🇪🇸

After leaving Morella, we headed towards Los Olivos Camping Park in Alcalà de Xivert, looking for somewhere quiet with a swimming pool where we could slow things down for the weekend.

What should have been a straightforward journey suddenly became a little more interesting than we expected… and at one point we seriously started questioning whether we were going the right way! 😬

Once settled, we show you around Los Olivos Camping Park, our huge superior pitch, the swimming pool, bar and facilities, and take a wander into Alcalà de Xivert to see what’s around the local area.

Was all the stress getting there worth it? You’ll have to watch and see!

Note to self: never blindly trust the satnav in a motorhome! 😅 That mountain detour was a BIG mistake. What’s the worst route your satnav has ever sent you down? 🚐

Hi Lee and Jodie, great vlog couldn’t believe the size of that pitch 😂 you’re right Lee you could put 4 vans on that pitch. Safe travels Steve/Gwenda❤

Lovely video, very stressful when you're sent down small places though!
We bought the Cadac 2 cook Turbo at the Lincoln Show last weekend. We keep seeing people with it and the round one is more of a faff to wash up! We had a good dinner cooked on it last night. It's very handy having 2 burners! Although the wind did keep blowing it out even with the deflectors on, so we will have to use our windbreak next time!

It's scary when the sat nav takes you the wrong way, ours took us to a low bridge on a very narrow but busy road, we did a 10 point turn with a massive hold up behind us and caught the van at the back on a high bank 🫣

Lovely video as always, made the right call to go for a relaxed couple of days before heading to the more busy coast.

Now that site was what i call value for money, massive pitch pool bar etc all spot on, got to smile when you've gone to relax then appear to walk into town stressing about how to get out 🤔😅, the town looked a nice town but where was the people, plenty of cars but no people, i think getting lost in a new town is an good experience personally and adds a bit of jeopardy and fun,we dont use a traditional sat nav we use waze and here we go on the phone and they do a good job but i think its all part of the adventure, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming out 👍

Great vlog, we also have stayed at Morrelo & Les Olives, we thought they were both great places. We were there in the winter so no swimming for us.
In Portugal at the moment & enjoying some great weather .
Safe travels

Hi Jody & Lee, thats a lovely site, nice and quiet and a pool with no one in it! Do you find having a big Kon Tiki difficult to drive aboard or is it no real hassle? We have an Adria Twin which is a bit smaller but no where near as equipped as your Swift. Chefs done a good job outside too!😂 cheers Andy and Lyn ❤

Where is everyone, it's like a ghost town lol

Thanks Lee, Jodie for another enjoyable vlog. That campsite is difficult to get into. We were there recently and luckily we were told there were signs for the site as you approach from the town from the South and to follow those. Glad we did because it's like a Maze! Safe travels. Fran
