Worth bearing in mind that it's quite easy to exceed the limit on many 3.5t motorhomes, might be worth a trip to a weigh station, 2 axle check, then chuck out all the unnecessary gear, eg if you're not going to use 240v leccy then out goes the appliances, plus 25m of cables and adapters. Probably preferable to jettisoning a passenger at the roadside!

Of course it's good practice to carry all the legal paperwork, but if you do find you've forgotten something, I wouldn't fret too much over it. Over +40 years of motorhoming in the EU I've only been asked to produce documents once, happened to be France hauled in for a weighbridge check by the flics. I've never had a GB or UK sticker on the van, I keep as low key as possible. But I do adorn it with the aesthetically pleasing +3.5t Angles Morte sticker (safety requirement) I know a lot of people don't bother, perhaps they know better than the French safety authorities.

There's ambiguity over the Spanish requirement to carry the V16 3'0 flashing beacon, as I understand it, if your country has a legal requirement for vehicles to be equipped with emergency breakdown equipment, comprising triangles, fluoro jackets etc then no beacon required. The UK has no legal requirement for emergency equipment to be carried? A beacon costs around £30, obtainable in many supermarkets etc around the France/Spain border.

We had an MOT today and have a paper copy of the pass certificate. Also I take two pairs of glasses.

Hi Alan, Excellent video, a great refresher.  You had previously uploaded a video from Palomares Beach, is this park up location now banned for overnight parking ? are you aware of another such locations along the coast ? a few years ago, I spent a few weeks at Santa Pola, however this location has been closed for overnighting.

I always take my prescriptions with me but have been told no many times in France and Spain. Perseverance pays off eventually but it is not a fore gone conclusion that the pharmacy will comply.Portugal is always a no in my experience.
